As Jerick leaves the house he begins to think about everything that has happened from the time Kayle and he started to date all the way to now. The happiness, sadness, and agony he has felt make his life as a whole feel worth it. Seeing his daughter smile after not knowing her for five long years is a joy he wouldn't trade for the world. Just when things seemed to go right, there was another threat to him and his family. Jerick knows deep down that Kayle would never forgive him if he asked her and Elizabeth to hide, while he went and fought.
Jerick says to himself "I won't let this happen again."
Hidden Cave
"Did word get around of what's about to happen?" Asks Catherine.
"Everything is moving as we planned. The Werewolves are heading towards Jericks area now, and the vampires who wanted to be nearby have just left." Replies Alistair.
"That's good. All we have left to do now is wait and see what that bastard has planned." States Catherine.
"Castella has left for Jericks as well, she should be there by tonight." Replies Alistair.
With a look of discomfort, Catherine says "Knowing Jerick, he'll want to talk to the wolves stationed outside of the town. I know how he must feel, but I did this for his sake."
"Do you think they'll join in the fight?" Asks Alistair.
"In all honesty, I have a feeling they will. Their daughter is going to lose them if they do. This Vampire isn't like the other two Jerick has faced." Replies Catherine, shuddering at the thought.
Abandoned Castle
"So the bait has been laid?" Asks the shadowy figure.
"Just as you instructed." Replies Merinea.
With a sinister grin, the shadowy figure says "This should bring that wolf pup and his traitorous wife out of their hole."
Cafe
Aerina says out loud "Hmm? No one's here?"
"Excuse me, do you happen to know Jerick and Kayle?" Asks a stranger.
"I do. They're friends of mine. Why are you asking?" Replies Aerina.
Faking his concern, the stranger says "Something has happened to them and I was asked to find you."
"Where are they?" Asks Aerina in a solemn tone.
"Follow me, I'll take you to them." Replies the stranger.
Outskirts of the city
"Man, these wolves sure are keeping a low profile." Mutters Jerick.
"Someone there?" Asks a light voice.
"No need to worry, I'm not a threat." Replies Jerick.
"You're a wolf too? Wait, Jerick is that you?" Asks the light voice.
"The one and only." Replies Jerick.
The light voice says to the woods "It's alright everyone, it's just Jerick."
As that is said, one by one the wolves come from the shadows of the forest into the clearing. The person who had been speaking comes out from behind a nearby tree and stands with them.
"Long time no see." Says the light voice.
"Yeah, long time no see." Replies Jerick.
"You came to see who was guarding you and your family?" Asks the light voice.
"It wouldn't sit well with me if I didn't, you should know that Brianna." States Jerick.
"The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree." Says Brianna jokingly.
