"Are you hiding something from me?" Asked the young girl in front of me. I looked at her quickly. "W-what do you mean? What would I hide Emily?" I closed the book I was reading and looked at my daughter carefully. "Maybe... a chocolate frog?" She asked. Using the muggle trick I had taugh her she pulled a chocolate frog from behind my ear. I let out a sigh of relief. "Mom? Can watch a movie on muggle Tv?" Emily asked. "You mean the Telovisem?" I said jokingly. " no mom it's called television!" She started laughing. "Oh alright fine," I said. She sat next to me on the couch and got under the covers. "What should we watch?" I asked handing her the controller. "Hmm how about... oh Friends!" She smiled and quickly turned it on. Within an hour she was fast asleep resting her head in my shoulder. For a quick second, I thought I had spotted Lucius from the corner of my eye. I turned quickly behind the couch. Just my imagination. I slowly carried Emily up to her room and set her in her bed. "Goodnight Emily," I smiled. I looked at the book I had been reading. I looked at it sadly and smiled. One of Draco's favorites... I set the book back on the book shelf and walked down the empty halls. The door behind me closed quietly. I let my wand fall to my hand. "Lucius..." I mumbled. "CONFRIGO!" "FINITE!" As quickly as I had turned around and casted the spell, he blocked it. "What are you doing here?" I glared at him. "Here to see my family. Is that a crime?" He mocked. He slowly lowered his wand but I kept my arm extended. "Mommy?" Emily came out of her room. "Emily go back in your room. Lock the door and don't come out no matter what!" I told her. My eyes never left Lucius. "W-who are you?" She cried. "I'm your father," he smirked at me. "Emily. Go to your room!" I told her. She backed up slowly. "Confrigo!" He pointed his wand behind her. Then behind me. I ducked quickly as the carpet behind me went up in flames. We were trapped in a ring of fire. "AVADA KADAVRA!" He shouted. I had no time to react. The spell came straight towards me. I woke up suddenly, next to Emily. I had fallen asleep on the couch. I didn't want to wake Emily up and worry her. But I also didn't want to take her to her room. I closed my eyes again and drifted back into my dreams.
