Chapter 4

The bug person who had risen up on the platform had a thick black and yellow striped stinger and amber-colored wings. Suchan stood back warily. The person turned to look at Suchan, at which point a shiver ran down Suchan's back. This was no longer a person, it was a monster, everything he didn't want to become.

The monster launched itself forward on its amber wings, and Suchan instinctively flew out of its way, giving it a wide berth, or, as wide as he could manage in a cage. The monster continued to lunge toward Suchan as he flew himself into the wall of his cage. Suchan looked around and made a quick decision to fly at the monster. He used his shotgun stance and rushed past the wasp monster, slamming into its shoulder. He landed on the grass of the enclosure and looked back at the wasp. It was sprawled out on its back. As he saw it immobile on the ground, he started drooling over the prospect of taking a bite. As soon as he noticed the thought, Suchan slapped himself. "No. NO!" He yelled. "I am NOT going to become a monster!"

Meanwhile, the wasp rose to its feet and flew over to Suchan with its mouth open, ready to take a bite of Suchan. Suchan turned his head at the sound of the wasp wings approaching. He instinctively threw his fist at it, punching it in the jaw. The wasp's jaw started bleeding. As the blook dripped down, Suchan's gaze followed it. Then he looked up and bit the wasp's shoulder.

The wasp person screamed as his shoulder was pierced by the dragonfly's mandibles. Suchan started pulling at the shoulder,l as if trying to tear off a piece of meat off a bone. The wasp punched the dragonfly in the gut and caused the dragonfly to let go. Suchan shook his head, then quickly flew to the top of the domed cage, looking down at the wasp. He went full speed into the wasp using his shotgun stance. The wasp spat blood out of its mouth as it felt like it had been hit by a cannonball.Suchan had skidded into the grass after hitting the wasp and let himself stay on the ground for a good few moments taking in deep breaths and clear his head. 

A few moments passed where all that could be heard inside the cage was heavy breathing. However the quiet sounds of breathing were soon interrupted by the sound of the wasp's wings buzzing. Suchan stood up and took a deep breath, staring down the wasp that was making its way over to him despite its heavy injuries. Suchan grabbed its wrist to throw the wasp to the ground when a searing pain went through his side like a lightning bolt. His grip on the wasp's wrist lossened as he stumbled to the ground crying out in pain. The wasp removed its stinger from Suchan's side and bit his arm, tearing off some of his flesh. Suchan's yells intensified as he tried to swipe the wasp away from him. As the pain from his side continued burning, a heat fogged over his mind, filling it with a burning desire to survive.
