"What have I gotten myself into???"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stand and pull on my boxers and pants, careful of the bandage. I look at my ruined shirt on the floor, there's no sense putting it back on now. I shrug and leave the room.
I hear Habit and Vin talking with hushed tones in the kitchen. I can't quite hear what they are saying, but it sounds like Habit still has an edge in his voice. I carefully creep down the stairs, I want to hear what they are saying.
"What you saw us none of your damn business, alright Vin?" Habit snarls out. "Yeah, yeah. Your right is none of my business. It's not my damn fault you left the door open though." Vin is full of sarcasm and suppressed anger. Habit laughs, mocking Vinny, "it's not my fault you left the door open!" Habit continues, "Its not my fault you have no respect for privacy, I hate you stupid humans. Always sticking your nose where it doesn't belong." I hear Vin laugh, "Says you, you were the one who just got skull fucked by a human."
I shake my head, Vinny must have a death wish. I come down the stairs and walk towards the kitchen. Vin is leaning against counter, arms crossed. Habit is sitting at the table, hunched over a sandwich and a menacing look in his eyes. "Uh, hi. Your Vin, right?" I ask, looking at Vinny. I know I'm bright red right now. "Yeah. I am. You must be Habits little pet he adores so much... for now." Vin replies. From the table Habit lets out a growl, making my back straighten.
"We'll... uh. It's nice to finally meet you..." I stumble over my words, this is all so awkward. "Uh, yeah. Same here." Vin says. There is a bout of silence, it fills the room with such an uncomfortable air. Suddenly Habit stands. "Ugh. Humans are so so weird sometimes!" He runs a hand through his hair, making him look disheveled again. My mind can't help but think of his perfect, tight Habussy and how it feels around me. ( 😂 I'm so sorry )
Habit turns and leaves the kitchen, Stomping his way upstairs. I can see his face is flushed as he leaves. Vinny and I stand there, silently watching him leave. When Habit's door slams, Vin laughs quietly. "Well I've never seen him act like that before, you must be important to him then. He doesn't usually get all flustered like that." I blush and look at my feet. "Uh... yeah. It's definitely very different for me too. He's very... Well he's both terrifying and exhilarating. And not to mention the fact that he's not human, and that's not even his body.... ugh what am I doing?" I sigh and sit at the table, head in my hands.
"I know I should hate him... but I can't seem to bring myself too. He's done so many terrible, awful things..." I trail off. Vin comes over to the table and sits next to me. "I know. I'm assuming he let you meet Evan?" He asks. I nod, remembering the fear etched into the body's face. Vinny sighs, "There's a way to get out. It will take a while though. Do you want to come with?" He asks gently. I pause, one one hand, I could get out, maybe have a normal life again. But on the other, I know I would miss him, and this weird, nonsensical place. I take a deep breath and look up at Vincent. "No. Even if you leve it's not over. I don't think anything will change. Eventually he will have you again. And in the meantime, someone has to keep him at least halfway sane. For both of them. Habit and Evan." I look in Vinny's eyes, I can see that he knows I'm right. We share a nod and fall into silence.
There's music coming from upstairs, Habit must be drowning out the world, this must be how he deals with unpleasant emotions. I hesitantly climb the stairs, I'm not sure how he will react to me checking on him. I stand outside his door, Rob Zombie's "Superbeast" emanating from the room. I cant hear Habit moving around, I'm not sure what he's doing. I put my ear to the door, I don't want to bother him if he's busy.
From inside the room, I hear the music, and if I listen really close, I can hear Habit. I can hear him breathing hard, and he occasionally hisses, almost like he's in pain. Concerned, I listen harder. I can't hear much else as the music is drowning it out. I hear Habit let out a long breath, and what sounds like a whine. Suddenly I get it. I straiten up, blushing, one hand covering my mouth.
I compose myself and softly knock on the door. I hear a pause, Habit calls out "Yeah?" He sounds a bit out of breath. I suppress a laugh, "Just me, I wanted to come check on you." I call back, beginning to open the door. I hear the frantic rustle of blankets, when I look Habit has his lower half completely covered, with a bright blush on his face. He reaches over and turns down the music, keeping a hand on the blankets.
"Uh... hey Y/N... um..." Habit looks anywhere bit at me. I suppress a chuckle and shut the door behind me. I walk over and stand before him. I place a hand in his face, pulling his face to look at me. "You silly thing. You know it doesn't matter, right?" I hold his face in my hands, looking softly into his eyes. "You are in a human body, and the human body is a weird place." I kiss his forehead, feeling the heat from his blush.
Standing up again, "Well, it looks like your doing pretty fine, let me know if you need anything, okay?" I tell Habit. He nods sheepishly. I chuckle at him, earning a look out of the corner of his eye. I ruffle his hair and begin to head toward the door. Before I get there, I hear Habit move behind me and I feel his arms wrap around me.
"Thanks, but please... don't leave yet."
