I love you, Albedo-"

chapter 1

Warning: may involve angst. My first time so may be bad.

   Lately Sucrose had a loss of appetite, low body temperatures, and hallucinations. Although she didn't know why, she still went to work and acted as if everything was completely fine. She thought that she just caught a cold or something like that.

"Mister Albedo! Could you help me check my new experiment quickly? I wanna finish up before I go home."

"Of course Sucrose, let's see. Is it another experiment for your wonderland dream?"
"Yeah!"

Albedo helped Sucrose go over her experiment and told her what she should do and what needs to be fixed. Resulting in her packing up her things 20 minutes later. "Thank you mister Albedo!" Sucrose called out in glee while walking back to her side of the room and started putting things into her hand carry pale green pouch. Albedo was a 'boss' like figure to her. She uses 'mister' with his name for formality even when Albedo has asked her there would be no need for them. She respected Albedo a lot and treated him as if he was more important to acting grand master Jean, though she would never put someone as high ranked as Jean below Albedo. Though there was one thing that she had started thinking about recently. Whenever she was around Albedo she felt warm and fuzzy, and when she was alone just by herself, she wanted Albedo's company. She would think about him all the time, she was getting less sleep because of thoughts of Albedo. She had grown feelings for him, not friendly feelings but romantic feelings. They didn't have much of an age gap so she thought it was fine. She just wanted to be in Albedo's arms whenever has the chance. As she walks through the city of wind dropping by a few shops to pick up some materials for experiments. *click* she heard her door unlock with the key to her house. She walked in and greeted her young cat sitting on the floor of the living room. Osiris was the name of her ragdoll cat with an oddly placed green colored fur spot on the back. She walked into the small kitchen to make dinner for herself and Osiris. The ragdoll cat sat patiently as it waited for its food by it's feeding bowl. Sucrose had a balanced diet and sleep schedule, sleeping at 10:00pm and waking up at 6:30am in the morning giving her 7 hours of sleep. Any more and she would be lousy, any less and she would be tired all day.

Today Sucrose's symptoms of what she thought was only a cough or a cold had gotten worse and got a horrible fever when she woke up. She started shaking uncontrollably. Her body temperature had gone down much more, and her loss of appetite had gotten worse. It was so bad that she had to stay at work which she didn't want because of her newly grown feelings for Albedo. If she wrote a letter for Jean letting her know that she couldn't go to work, it would at least take a few hours before it got to Jean. So she only stayed in bed with Osiris once in a while getting up to use the washroom or getting a small snack. Around 5pm, she heard a knock on her apartment door. She slowly got up from her bed and walked to the door and opened it ajar. Seeing that it was Albedo at the door she quickly opened the door more and let him in.

"Sucrose, are you doing ok?"

" Yes, I should be fine. I was feeling very sick this morning so I decided to not go to work."

"That's good, get better soon. I brought some soup for you."

"Do you need me to check you?"

"I- um, sure."

"This is odd"
"Hmm?"

"I can't find anything odd- it only seems like you've caught a small cold, but it doesn't explain why you've been hallucinating and were shaking uncontrollably this morning."

"Oh well, I'll probably be good in no time! Hopefully I'll be able to go to work tomorrow."

"Yeah,." Albedo murmured quietly as he nodded.
Soon Albedo had left, leaving veggie and radish soup on the table of her living room.

Three days have gone by and her symptoms have still been the same, but she had suddenly started coughing yesterday. Coughing till her throat went dry to the point where she couldn't breath. Suddenly, her throat started feeling itchy and she started coughing, and a salmon colored rose petal came out of her mouth. How and why did she cough up a flower petal? She decided to look into it, she still had a fever so she needed to be cautious for herself. She slipped on a cardigan and some baggy pants. Got her pale green pouch and left her house to go to the library. It wasn't too late in the morning so she got to the Library, she walked in to see Lisa putting back books.

"Sucrose dear!"

"Ahh! Hello Miss Lisa!"

"Are you feeling better?"

"Not exactly, I'm only here to look for a book because I'm getting bored in my apartment."

"Ok, tell me if you need anything!"

Sucrose walked down to the medical section where she could look for books about why her body was acting all up. After a few minutes of searching, she found a book called "Hanahaki Disease" she flipped through the page and saw things about coughing up flower petals. She brought it to the desk and while Lisa was checking the book out, she looked at Sucrose with a concerned look. Sucrose took the back alley she usually takes to get home, when she did, she flopped onto her bed, opened the book from page one and started to read. "Chapter 1, The deadly effects of the Hanahaki disease".
