I love you, Albedo-"

Chapter 3

(before we start, I just wanna apologize for making Sucrose so like "depressed" bout the situation, it's my first time and its gonna get cringe- enjoy-)

A new girl, blond hair, a uniform similar to Sucrose's. The new girl's hands were all over Albedo, she was flirting with him. Albedo's back was turned so she couldn't tell what Albedo was thinking. In the small moments when she was walking through the door, she had her heart broken by was it Albedo? No, was it the new girl? She didn't know, she couldn't process it clearly. A small stutter came out of the mouth. "I- mister Alb-" she couldn't finish the sentence and ran away crying, slamming the door and dropping her hat along the way. Noelle was questioning what had just happened, she saw the whole thing happen, but didn't know why Sucrose ran away. Chasing after Sucrose, she had found her hat lying on the ground with a few petals coming from her hat that she hides when she is out. Wondering what they are, she brings the hat to Lisa to see.

"This is horribly bad."

"What is happening?"

"Noelle dear, I shall tell you when the time comes."

Noelle was scared of what could come for Sucrose, did Sucrose herself know? She couldn't think, the rest of her day was rough because she was worrying about Sucrose. Hopefully she was ok and safe. After work, Noelle quickly rushed to Sucrose's house hoping that she was inside. She knocked on the door a few times and no answer. Just when she was about to leave with a note half way through the door Albedo arrived and asked "hello Noelle, is Sucrose home?"

"Unfortunately not."

"I see, do you think it was something about what I did earlier.?"

"Honestly I don't know, she ran out of the office without any warning and the only thing that was left was her hat with some salmon colored petals."

"That's odd, why flower petals? I know she likes flowers but why petals?"

"I don't know, but I'm starting to get really worried about her, do you know a way in?"

As Noelle had finished her sentence, Albedo pulled out the key Sucrose had given him and unlocked the door. Walking in they were only greeted with Sucrose's cat, Osiris. They checked around the house looking for her, there were no signs of her nor was there any notice of her leaving. Albedo knew that one of Sucrose's habits was running off without notice but she would always come back before sunset. This left both Albedo and Noelle worried but they thought to themselves "Sucrose probably just got distracted. And will come home later"

It had been a few days since the incident, and still Sucrose had still not come back to Mondstadt. The Knights had started to get worried so Noelle had offered to help out and go look for her. She went to one of Sucrose's favorite places Windrise but there were no signs of anyone camping there, Noelle traveled uphill next and got to Star Snatch Cliff where she saw Sucrose sitting there with her uniform jacket off. She sat looking far into the sea, tears falling from her eyes and surrounded by salmon pink rose petals and a sea of Dandelions. They were the same petals that Noelle had found in her hat a few days earlier.

"Sucrose!!!"

"Ah- hmm?"

"Sucrose are you ok?! You're not hurt are you?"

"Yeah, I just needed to get things off my chest."

"Are you ok? Why are you crying?"

"...."

"Sucrose?"

All Sucrose wanted to do was express her true feelings and tell someone about her condition. She took a deep breath and starts to tell Noelle what is really happening.

"You see Noelle, I recently found out that I have a disease called Hanahaki Disease, where the victim will cough or vomit up flowers or flower petals because of the flower that is growing in their lungs or heart. Every flower and color means a different thing. For me it is a salmon rose, meaning that I desire romance. How I caught this disease is because my love for mister Albedo is one-sided and is not returned."

"Sucrose- so is this what Lisa meant that it was bad? Are there cures for it!?"

"Yes, yes there are but it's not by taking medications. It's either by proposing your feelings to the person but the proposal must reach the person's heart to make them have feelings for you too or to get it surgically removed, but if I do that, then I'd lose all my emotions which I don't want. Not only that, but I have a 70% chance of dying now. The other 30% is if I get it fixed or heal myself or hope that the flower doesn't get too big."

"So then why not tell Albedo how you feel?"

"Because. He has the new recruit, and I don't want to bother him any more."

"But-"

"It's ok, but promise me one thing. Don't tell anyone about my condition, especially Albedo and Klee."

"I understand. Can you please come back to Mondstadt with me?"

"Alright."

Sucrose gathered all the rose petals and stuffed them in her pouch, packed up her jacket and put it back on. The two young girls walked back to Mondstadt in silence. Noelle was too shocked to say anything, all she wanted to do was find a cure without having Sucrose go through pain. But there was one thing for sure. She needed to tell the Knights. She had to. Even though Sucrose had asked her not to. On the other hand, Sucrose was busy looking at the wonders of nature, she just wanted to take things off her mind. Every few minutes the two of them would stop for Sucrose to cough the rose petals out. Every time coughing out more than the last time. At this point, Sucrose's pockets were filled with rose petals. It wasn't long until Sucrose dropped down on the ground too weak to walk any longer. Noelle had to run back to have someone help her carry Sucrose back to her apartment. When Sucrose was set on the bed with Osiris cuddled up next to her, Noelle quickly got out of the house to get to the Favonius Headquarters.

"Master Jean!" Noelle exclaimed as she busted in the door in a panic. "Noelle, is everything alright?"

"Later, please hold a small meeting with everyone except for Sir Albedo and Klee. I'll explain when everyone is here."

"Very well, could this be about Sucrose?"

"Indeed it is, but I have to go see miss Lisa now."

Noelle ran out of the door going to the room across from the office to the library finding Lisa having afternoon tea.

"Miss Lisa, you were right. Sucrose is in a lot of trouble."

"Don't tell me she actually got Hanahaki??"

"I'm afraid she did."

"Goodness, please send Barbara over to her right away with this note."

Lisa quickly scribbled on the note as she passed it onto the young and panicked knight. As soon as the note was in her hands, Noelle ran and ran, not stopping until she got to the church for Barbara. She gave the note to Barbara and the two young girls took a medical pouch and headed straight for Sucrose's house.
