"Something came up." Mariana says through her phone with her back turned to me.

She had to be on the phone with her parents or something. Did I get her in trouble by allowing her to stay with me?

"Oka-" she says before she removes her phone from her ear. She turned to me with a sorry look, I knew something wasn't right. My eyebrows furrowed waiting for her to tell me what's wrong.

"I'm sorry I have to go." she says, which confirms i did get her in trouble. "I'll see you tomorrow, I'm glad I met you, Levi." she gave me that breathtaking smile again that somehow reassured me she was fine.

Those words make me feel fuzzy inside. "I'm glad I met you too, Mariana." I say truthfully.

She turns around and walks ahead of me, I watch her walk into the distance before me. Seconds later after she left my bus came. I paid and got on it, standing in the nearest corner because I hated sitting in these dirty buses.

I smiled to myself, coming to the conclusion I had a great day and she just might've been the best person i've ever met.

She's just a girl, calm down.

I get off the bus in front of my complex and go inside to take the elevator up to my floor.

I became excited for tomorrow, excited to see her, i'll admit to myself having a friend makes school better.

Pushing my key into my loft studio I entered the blinds shut and dark. I didn't mind it but I was just too lazy to open them.

Throwing down my backpack,  I took off my shoes, removed my shirt, threw them in the hamper leaving me only in my sweatpants, running my hands through my hair and scratching a spot on my head before getting me a glass of water.

Gulping it in one go before I went to use the bathroom. I figured it would be useful if I did my homework before I went to work tonight and it took me four hours just to do everything, that's the Math teacher's fault, she had it out for me.

Finishing up the last of my science homework a knock on my door interrupts me, I ignore it but it doesn't stop the person from continuing.

"Leviathan, it's David!" the voice calls. Sighing I put the textbook down and got off my bed to open the door. I look at David and wait for him to continue, instead he helps himself inside.

"I paid fuchsia for this month to let you stay here but I can't keep giving her two hundred out of my paycheck every month." he said as he inspected my apartment. I close the door behind him. "I'll get two jobs." I state.

"But you have school." he tilts his head. "I know." I say. He sighs and sits himself on my couch. "Why don't you go back to pennsylvania." he sighs. I clench my jaw and open the door again for him.
