Blankets lay all over the floor and on top of them had a huge bean bag with more blankets on top.
That bean bag could probably fit five people. It laid candy, chips and snacks with a cooler which I assume is filled with drinks. A radio is set on the island table behind the whole set up for entertainment i'm guessing.
But what really gets me is the brown three folders on the floor in front of the bean bag. Stunned, speechless and dumbfounded I tried to say words but nothing but stuttering came out.
I wanted to say thank you, you're welcome, i'm going to cry, literally shitting my pants but i didn't. I also wanted to know what the folders were for.
"You want to look in the folders." he says as a statement and not a question, I nod and kneel on the blanket to pick up a folder and open it.
Major crimes: Patty Hearst case I read the title of the document in the folder. I actually shedded a tear.. He does listen to me.
" I don't usually like having friends." he begins shyly. "And I don't know how to hangout But I tried to get all the things you like. All your favorite snacks and a lot of ginger ale because you spend thirty minutes telling me why they're the best soda and the drink looks like champagne. And I have cases we can do, since you love those, I like them too."
I also bought the blankets and that big ass fucking thing, it doesn't have lice or anything on it."
I shed many more tears "you said four sentences to me.." I started ugly crying, making his expression confused and concerned.
This is what the color yellow feels like, this is equivalent to the first sip of juice when you have a dry throat, this is like not doing the homework and the teacher doesn't check for it the next day.
I put the folder down and ran into his arms wrapping my arms around his neck, unfortunately he has really bad reflexes so he did not catch me but it was okay because I climbed him like a tree and unconsciously wrapped my legs around his waist. crying in his ear.
"No one has ever done this for me." I whimper in a small voice. I felt him beginning to breathe again and with no more time wasted his arms wrapped around my back and his head rested on my shoulder.
He's a really good hugger, he knows exactly where to put his hands and stuff.
"Levi, thank you." I say genuinely, he just nods as a response before I jump down from his tall frame and run to the bean bag to plop myself onto it.
