The moon shined brightly from behind the clouds in Mondstadt. The cold wind was blowing, which guided a beautiful tune along it. Almost like the wind was playing a lyre. Yet still, it was like childish giggling ran all around, keeping everyone awake. Well, that was just it.
The young Spark knight of the knights of Favonius, Klee, had sneaked out of her room right during bedtime without the Acting Grand master noticing. Klee was planning to wake up one of her friends, who worked at the Cat's Tail. They had been planning that for a month now, and they finally got their chance.
The burny girl climbed up some barrels and knocked on the window right next to her. Her friend, Diona, was already awake and ready to go. She opened the window and climbed out of her room, then tried her best to close the window. Klee hugged the pink head, and also got one hug back.
"And now what? We got outside, so what're we going to do?" Diona asked, which got Klee silent.
"Oh... Yeah... I didn't think it that far...", Klee giggled awkwardly. Diona grabbed Klee's hand and dragged her outside the city walls, so they wouldn't have been seen. It was quite convenient, the guards weren't guarding the door at that moment.
"Let's go visit mister Albedo in Dragonspine!" Klee said loudly, almost shouting. Diona quickly covered her mouth, to keep her down.
"Is that all you can come up with? I don't want to visit that grumpy blond. Klee pouted at her comment, but still let it go.
"Then... Uhh... We can go fish blasting now that the adults aren't near?" Klee suggested. This time, it caught Diona's attention. She was half cat after all, fish her favorite food.
"Now that sounds better! We can go in Springvale, there is this one place where you get the best fishes ever!" Diona said, both of them getting excited. Not even a second passed, and they both were running in the direction of the small village.
Meanwhile, the Kujou Clan had set foot on the Galesong Hill, quite near Dragonspine. Most of the Shogunatte's army were impressed by the looks of the area, but still thought that Inazuma had a lot better views. Sara led the group, as she was the one with the map. Though to be fair, she was still upset that Kokomi couldn't make it to the ship.
They walked around and around, encountering a few enemies here and there, but beating them with ease. Once they made it to the area where you could continue to Springvale or go to the city, that's when the fuzz began.
"Lady Sara, do you have any idea where we're actually going?", one of the men asked. Sara stayed silent, only keeping her eyes on the map. She couldn't figure out where to go, until she heard a child-like voice on her left.
"You don't seem to be from here, that's for sure!", Klee said, holding a small bucket in hand. Sara immediately gave the map to a person behind her and walked up to the young one.
"Greetings. I am Kujou Sara, the second commissioner of the Kujou Clan. We're all from the land of Inazuma, ruled by the Almighty Shogun. Our camp got attacked during daytime, and there was only a map left at the site. Tell me, do you know where this 'Starsnatch cliff' is headed to?", Sara talked for a long time. Klee was amazed by the woman, just the way she could keep her cool in the sort of situation they were in.
"Klee didn't understand almost any of that, but Starsnatch cliff is over there! In that direction!", Klee said, pointing to north-east. Sara looked over where the child was pointing at, then smiled slightly.
"Could you please lead me over there? I don't think my navigation skills would lead us to the right direction.", she said softly, which Klee immediately replied with a nod.
"Sure thing, lady! Let me get these fishes to Diona first!", Klee said and started to run back in Springvale, leaving the rest of the Clan waiting.
"Lady Sara, are you sure about this?... Wh-what if the kid gets in trouble? Why is she even up at this time?!" the soldier with the map said. Sara simply silenced him, then kept on waiting. Sooner or later, Klee got back with Diona along her.
"Alright! This is my best friend Diona! Oh, and this little one on my backpack is Dodoco! Say hi to Dodoco!" Klee said happily as she hugged the plushie attached to her bag. Sara waved both to the plush and Diona, and then the trip started.
Together, the little ones told all kinds of stories about their own adventures in Mondstadt. Sara gladly listened to it all, as for the rest of the clan, they didn't really pay attention. Time flew quite quickly, and they already reached the cliff's start.
"Thank you for guiding us, young ones. I will remember this to the day I shall pass.", Kujou said, holding her hand against her chest. Klee smiled to the clan, as for Diona was still quite unsure of them.
"Why are you here in the first place? I believe Inazuman people wouldn't have anything to do in here.", the pink-head spoke, making everyone silenced.
"You see, here is a small threat I want to get rid of. There has been a person doing bad things in Inazuma, and I believe that they might be here now. I am only trying to help, that's a promise.", Kujou said with a gentle smile. Both of the children were now silenced, but they both nodded.
"Goodbye, nice lady! I hope we meet again sometime!", Klee shouted and was already running away, as she got chased by Diona. Sara watched after them with a smile, then got her seriousness back.
She led the group on top of the hill, were there was someone sitting next to a rock. They looked like they were deeply asleep, so Sara didn't even hesitate to walk closer. She had her bow and arrow ready as the other clan member's took tighter grips from their weapons. In that moment, Sara saw who it was.
"No one attacks!", she shouted and get right next to the body. The body of a blond woman with a hydro vision tied to the bowtie on her chest.
"Kokomi...? No, no, this can't be... Is this why you never came onboard...?" Sara talked to herself as tears filled her eyes. In that moment, she heard a thunder behind her. She turned around to see all of the other members of the clan, all laying dead on the ground. Yet there was still no one. She picked up her bow and arrows again and looked around. Aware of every move around her. Then she heard a small lightning behind her, and a huge pain in her back.
"And so, the Kujou Clan has come to it's end. Don't you agree?"
