Possible Endings

I have two endings planned in my head for the infinite regression: they're both bittersweet ending but one is a more on the sweet and the other is on the bitter side. This is going to be shorter and more grammatical errors because I'm lazy and I have school.

The 'good' ending: 

The regressions were just an illusion made by the SG to amplify and increase Cale's despair. Cale does break out of it in the end and prevent the the destruction(by sacrificing others) but the world is half of the world was destroyed by then.

Cale also got locked up by his family in the end; however, he still has freedom, just not the privacy. He also become more traumatized knowing that everything that happened in the illusion could happen if he had made different choices. To make it worse, record made him remember everything happen. He falls into an endless rabbit hole called 'how to become a ticking time bomb'. Fortunately for him, he has his family to get him out of it (even if he trusts them less than before).

The 'bad' ending:

The regressions were all real and Cale gets really desperate in the end which results to a deal with SG. Cale gave his despair to SG to feed on in return he will get his eternal sleep or immortality(only if the previous isn't possible).

However, SG being the bastard he is, seals all of Cale's records about being in the Birth of the Hero world and only leaves him with memories of him as KRS. In other words, he makes Cale repeat all his life without Cale knowing so he will get more despair to devour. After Cale repeats his life for more than a 1,000 times(maybe more since SG is a bastard), he will fulfill his part of the deal of giving Cale the eternal sleep he desires with the added bonus of the many worlds getting destroyed. 

(I'm a nice person and totally not sadistic. Hahhahhahahahahhaha)

I'll try to be nice to Cale on my next idea.

Also these ending needs more detail in them: did Cale ever figure out he's repeating his life, who dies in the 'good' ending, does Cale ever heal in the 'good' ending, etc. I'm really sorry Cale. Your suffering will never end in this regression fic idea.
