It has been a couple days since mom and dad died and it's been really hard. I haven't had much time to grieve because most of my time was spent with Violet or lawyers. My parents had good jobs which paid well and life insurance, so after sitting down with the lawyers and signing all the paperwork all of the money was put in mine and Violet's names along with the house which was paid off. I was currently lying in bed with Violet who was still asleep. She hasn't wanted to sleep alone and anytime I tried she would wake up screaming or crying. Today was the day of our parents' funeral.

(Y/N): Violet, you need to wake up.
She didn't get up, instead, she just snuggled into me.
(Y/N): I know you are awake.
Violet: No.
She said in her sleepy voice. I decided to get up, but she wrapped herself around me and pulled me back into bed.
(Y/N): I know we normally spend the day in bed, but we have to get up or at least I do.
I tried to get up again.
Violet: I said NO!
She got on top of me and pushed my shoulders down.
Violet: We are staying in bed together.
I heard a knock on the door which made Violet lose her focus, so I tickled her so she got off of me. I went downstairs to open the door and was pulled in a hug by Julie and her mom.
