(Y/N)'s POV
It's been about a week since Julie's and her parents' funeral. Their deaths hit the community hard which ultimately resulted in our school being shut down for a week to give students time to recover. I'd been receiving a lot of messages from my classmates checking in on me because they knew that I was Julie's boyfriend. In all honesty it was a bit much. Today was the first day back for all of us and I was kinda nervous. As me and Violet were walking to school she was holding my arm, but we were approaching the front gate. I pulled away from Violet and she gave me a look.

(Y/N): I'll see you in class later.
Violet: Where are you going?
(Y/N): I have to go to my locker and besides you have to go to the office and make sure your schedule hasn't changed plus getting a new lock for your locker.
Violet: Damn, I forgot about that. Hopefully I will see you later.
She ran ahead of me inside the building while I walked across the court and I could see people looking at me and whispering amongst themselves. I hated this feeling of having everyone's eyes on me. I just walked faster so I could get inside, but as I was walking through the hall I could hear what people were whispering.
???: He was Julie's boyfriend before she was murdered.
??? #2: I heard the police interviewed him as a potential suspect.
??? #3: He doesn't look too sad to me.
??? #4: He's like the only person who didn't post a memorial post for Julie online.
??? #5: Should he even be here he might be unstable after all that has happened.
??? #6: What do you say to someone who just lost the people he's loved?
??? #7: I heard he broke down at his parent's funeral.
All of their words just kept swirling around in my head and I just wanted it to stop. When I got to my locker and opened it I was able to zone out all of the background noise and everything was quiet. I was exchanging my books and grabbing the ones I needed for class. While doing that I noticed an envelope with my name written on it with a heart after it. Could this be from Julie before she was killed? I was about to open it, but I stopped myself.
(Y/N): I shouldn't open it here.
I said to myself as I slipped the note into my back. I was eventually snapped out of my thoughts by someone talking to me.
???: Excuse me.
I was a little startled, but I turned to see two girls stand next to my locker.
