Chapter 19.5 (Unfinished)

A/N Written Feb 21, 2020 I don't remember where I was going with this or the concept at all, but I thought I'd post what was there anyway. 

Cheerfully she raced through the house and skipped out the door, a small, butterfly-patterned messenger bag flying behind her. She greeted everyone along the path with a wave and a loud "good morning!".

Never mind the red dusting the edges of her eyes or the slight slouch in her shoulders, because she was smiling and she was happy.

A slight nudging jostled Lynn out her strange dream. Warm sunlight spun through the air. It filled the quiet space of the car and landed gently on her face. Blinking away the last remnants of sleep she was reminded of her strange dream.

She had been having a riveting conversation with an assorted group of jelly beans when she ate a few. The rest hopped away and onto the floor where a clutch of hens with chocolate sweaters gobbled them up. She remembered wanting to comfort the melting sweets as they cried.
