THE BARTON FARM WAS OFFICIALLY ONE OF VIOLET PETROVA'S FAVOURITE PLACES IN THE WORLD. Nat had told her about it a few times, but nothing she could have said would've truly captured the serenity of the farm. Violet thought it was so peaceful and so beautiful. How can something so beautiful exist in a world so ugly?

"Do you have superpowers?" Lila Barton tugged on the sleeve of Violet's black hoodie that Laura had let her borrow. The young girl had woken up to get a glass of water. It was late, and everyone was starting to get ready for bed. Violet was standing in the kitchen with a mug of hot tea, looking out the window at the peaceful landscape.

Violet looked down at the little girl at her side and smiled softly, shaking her head. "No, I don't have any powers."

"Well, are you still a hero?" Lila asked innocently.

Violet began shaking her head, a small, soft smile still on her lips. "No-"

"Of course she is," A new voice entered the room. Violet and Lila both looked over to see none other than Clint Barton himself, holding a familiar piece of cloth in his hands. He looked down to his daughter, saying with a smile, "Go back to bed, you little monkey."

Lila scattered off to her room, leaving Clint and Violet in the kitchen. "Coffee?" Violet offered.

"Please," Clint replied. Violet nodded, reaching up to the top cabinet to retrieve a mug before filling it with coffee Laura had brewed and handing it to Clint. He put his own cream and sugar in before the two stood in a comfortable silence in the small, rustic kitchen.

Clint put down his coffee on the counter and extended his right hand, presenting the scarlet fabric to Violet.

"Laura... got the stains out. Figured you might want it back. I know how weirdly obsessed you are with it," He joked lightheartedly, awkwardly struggling to sound sincere.

Violet took the jacket into her hands, a genuine smile on her hands. He could've just let the SHIELD agents throw it out back at the compound, but he didn't. He kept it. "Thank you," She said softly.

"Don't mention it, kid."

"Don't you dare start crying," A new voice entered the room.

"Fury? What are you doing here?" Violet stammered, shocked.

Violet and the rest of the Avengers gathered around the kitchen and dining area. Violet inferred that a serious conversation was about to be had, so she grabbed her tea and took a seat beside Natasha at the table. Something was up — Nick Fury didn't just show up to check in for nothing.

And she was right. He gave his pep talk to the group, which ultimately helped them figure out what Ultron's goal was going to be, and before they knew it, the Avengers were on their way to Seoul to see Dr. Helen Cho.
