After taking that god-awful test, the bell rings. But Hye-Ju wasn't in a hurry since her next class was Economics, which Gowon wasn't in. While walking to class, she spots a familiar face. Jinsol and her girlfriend. Sometimes Hye-Ju would purposely avoid them because they keep nagging her about when she's going to ask Gowon to go out with her. Hye-Ju wasn't really the romantic type. She'd cringe just thinking about her partner giving her pet names like "bubby", "muffin", and "honeybun". But with Gowon it was different. She could call her all the cheesy and stupid pet names lovers to give each other and she wouldn't love her any less.
"Hey! Hye-Ju come here!" Jinsol said snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Can't, don't want to be late to class," Hye-Ju said.
"Oh come on, come here Baby Wolf Hye," Jinsol said.
"Didn't I tell you to stop calling me that?"
"I will when you start acknowledging me more." The older girl said.
"So Hye-Ju, when are you going to ask her out, it's the 1 year anniversary from when you started liking her," Lip said.
"Well, actually-"
Hye-Ju was interrupted by the bell.
"Oh, saved by the bell! Bye!" Hye-Ju said.
"Wait come back! What were you going to say!"
Not wanting to bear Jinsol and Lip anymore she runs to class.
"She's never going to ask her out, is she?" Jinsol says.
"Nope."
--------------------------------------------
"You're late. Ms. Hye." Her teacher says.
"Sorry I was having girl problems." Hye-Ju lies, not wanting to get into any trouble.
"Oh- um okay. Have a seat please, don't be late tomorrow."
"Aye aye," Hye-Ju says sarcastically.
----------------------------------------------
When class ended, she basically bolted out the door. Her last and favorite class.
Algebra.
As she walks in, her eyes dart right to Gowon.
I mean it wasn't hard to find her since her mint-colored hair really pops out.
As she sits down, Gowon sends her that smile that Hye-Ju adores.
"So, how was your day Professor Watermelon?"
"It was alright, except for the fact that I forgot to study for the test in English."
"I'm sure you'll be fine," Gowon said, grabbing Hye-Ju's hand to reassure her.
Hye-Ju not knowing how to react, just stared at Gowon's hand on top of hers.
"Hey, how about this. You come to my house at six o'clock and I can help you out with whatever you're struggling with. Sounds good?" Gowon says
"Y-Yeah sure that sounds great," Hye-Ju says.
Even though she's been over at Gowon's place like a million times, it still makes her nervous at times.
-------------------------------------------------
After school is finally over, she and Gowon usually walk home together,
Hye-Ju would wait for her outside of the school since, after Algebra, Gowon always forgets to take her instrument from band class. Hyejoo found this weird since the girl wasn't really a forgetful person. Hye-Ju doesn't question her, because she doesn't want to sound like some sort of stalker that should know Gowon's every move. But still being curious she walks around the school and tries to find Gowon. Looking into every classroom, she finally spots her. There she was in the band room. She was about to enter until she saw a familiar face. Sei. One of Gowon's closest friends. Or so she thought. She didn't want to be nosy, so she just walked away. But came back five seconds later, because she was just curious. But what she saw, made Hye-Ju realize that Sei wasn't just a friend. They were definitely more than that.
Not being able to bear what she's seeing, she walks out of the school and doesn't look back. Not bothering to wait for Gowon anymore.
