"What's up whores?"

"Honestly you need to be nicer to your friends, you can't keep coming in here acting a damn fool every fucking time cat man" Changbin growls at his best friend.

"Awww I'm sorry baby, lonely Bin feeling sensitive tonight? Your man is almost here, why don't you let all that out on him" Minho smirks as he sees the flush overtake his friend's face,

"That's it I'm committing a murder tonight"
Changbin yells as he chases the older man around his house before bumping into a newly arrived Felix.

"Oh uhh hey Lix, did you just get here? Welcome, let me get your coat, do you want a drink? I can get you something to eat if you're hungry too" the man nervously rattles off as he hears "tsk whipped" in the background.

"Thanks hyung, can I get some water? Practice was extra long and tiring today. I have a girl group coming back next year, and we've been working tirelessly on their timing and synchronization so I'm ready to relax and pretend work doesn't exist."

He sighs as Changbin massages his shoulders on their way to the kitchen.

"Well you came to the right place. I'm working on a new project too and it's been a long couple of weeks so I'm in the same boat as you right now."
He finishes as he hands the freckled beauty a cold bottle of water before they sit down on the island.

"Gordy is still finishing up the food outside so here's something to keep you alive until then." He passes him the fries he was eating.

"Mmm you're literally an angel, thank you." He places a hand on his thigh as he starts devouring the fries in front of him.

"I love your house by the way, I know I've been here quite a few times, but there's always a new detail to notice everytime."

"Why thank you, I can take you on a tour later on if you want. You just have to remind me because I forget easily." He knows he won't forget, he just hopes Felix will want to stay behind and hangout after everyone else leaves.

"It's a date. I uhh I mean it's a p-plan. Sorry"

"That's okay I knew what you meant." He responds somewhat downtrodden because of course he'd like to take him on a date, it's just complicated.

"So otherwise how was your day? It sounds like you've been working really hard. I hope you're taking breaks to eat and rest in between." Changbin worries

"I just really love what I do y'know so I guess sometimes I get caught up in the moment and I forget to take breaks when I send the girls on their breaks."

"I mean I love how passionate you are about your craft, but if you don't take care of yourself, how will you dance if you get sick? Better yet I'll just start sending you lunch everyday so you don't actually starve to death."

"Hyung oh my god you're so extra. Okay I promise I'll take breaks from now on. You don't have to send me anything." He laughs when Changbin aims his pinky at him, waiting for Felix's to complete the promise.

"Only if you promise me the same. I know how you get when you're on focus mode." He connects their fingers when Changbin nods in agreement.

They sit there looking into each other's eyes with their fingers connected and longing smiles on their faces. What will it take to get them to confess to each other?

It's definitely no thanks to Bang Chan who accidentally interrupted the moment by yelling
"Food is ready, don't make me come get you."
Before he stumbles into the kitchen and realizes he might've just pushed back their budding romance another few months, and boy does he feel bad.

They all head out to the balcony where their friends are getting ready to enjoy the fireworks and the delicious bbq prepared by Changbin's amazing chef.

Once everyone has stuffed their faces and helped clean up the area, they all stand around while Hyunjin and Jisung clumsily try to get the fireworks started. Sure Minho and Seungmin had to get involved, but it's the thought that counts I guess.

"Mmmh happy new year hyungie" Felix sighs with his head laying on Changbin's shoulder as they watch the fireworks show on that cold Seoul night.

"Happy new year to you too my Haengbokkie" Changbin responds before placing a chaste kiss on the younger's head with his right arm wrapped around him and keeping him warm.

Of course the number 1 changlix fan Christopher Chan did not miss the opportunity to take a picture of the cute not-so-couple right as the fireworks lit up the sky intensifying their lovely silhouettes.

What a beautiful picture to show on their wedding day in a few years. 'Yeah it's definitely thank you card worthy' he smiles at the thought.
