When I wake up the next day, I roll over expecting to see Tris, but only meeting a painful reminder that she's gone. I can hardly function without her. Everything is a blur.
Breakfast,
Lunch. I don't listen in on anyone's conversation, and they don't include me. which I'm totally fine with. I want to be left alone.
I was thinking dinner would be the same, but Christina wouldn't have it.
"Four, come on, we have to go do something. I can't keep seeing you like this."
"Like what, Christina? Upset over my dead girlfriend, your friend?" I snap.
" No, I understand that. Dont you dare think that I don't know the pain or feel it. I lost Will not to long ago, now Tris? How do u think I feel?"
I honestly forgot about Will. this must be really hard for her.
"I'm sorry Christina."
"It's fine. I just can't see you walking around like there is nothing left to live for in this world. I want the old Four back."
The old Four.
The old Four was tough and heartless
The old Four was mean
The old Four..... had Tris.

I have to stop this....
"Where are we going?" I ask.
" Wanna tattoo?" She asks.
"Let's go." I didn't know that this place had a tattoo area but apparently they do. When we get there I already know what I'm getting.
"What are you getting Christina?" I say
"I'm gonna have Al's, Will's, and Tris's names tattooed around my wrist as a kind of everlasting friendship bracelet."
She says.
"That's nice." I say
"Yeah... What are you getting?"
"Its a surprise."
"Oh come on! Please."
"No."
"Ugh fine. Where should we meet afterwards?"
"Right outside."
"Okay"
And then we walk into the two separate rooms.
"What would you like?" The tattoo artist asks.
"A burning phoenix in my collar bone."
"Okay, lay back. I'll be done shortly."
I do what she says and lay down.
I chose this because I remembered her three crows on her collar representing the three family members she left. This phoenix represents her burning light and how even though she left me I will see her again. like her and her family.

When it's done, she gives me a mirror and it is beautiful. The tail looks like it's burning in flames of red and orange and the bird itself looks stunning. But what gets me are the eyes. Somehow they look exactly like hers. I thank her and go outside to meet Christina.
When I get there she smiles, but when she sees what my tattoo is she starts to cry.
"It's like hers." she says between sobs.
"Yeah" is all I manage before I start to cry too. She comes over to hug me and I hug her back, and we just stand there crying in each arms, comforting each other in a weird way.
"Come on,lets go get some diner. I'm starving." She says
I nod and follow after her towards the dining room.
