A Self-Proclaimed Deity

As Xeroc slept, the world evolved. Plants grew across the land, nurtured by the nutrient-rich soil below and the warm rays from the sun above. The indigenous slimes grew in population and variety, as they covered more and more of the surface. One slime in particular, however, was not pleased with its circumstances. It wanted more, to be above the rest, to control the rest. A series of mutations had allowed it to think, allowed it to feel and to want. It began consuming plants from across the land, assimilating their lifeforce into its own.

Much more lifeforce than was ever intended by Xeroc had been stuffed into one vessel, a self-proclaimed deity. It was The Slime God. It had risen above all else on this planet, even going so far as to be able to levitate itself for short periods of time. However, consequences will always follow when the laws set by Xeroc are broken, and thus was the case for the ill-fated Slime God. All of the extra life force within the bounds of the slime were causing it to mutate further, becoming unrecognizable as a slime.

The Slime God sought to protect itself, as it knew that eventually another being would come into existence that would rival its own power. It distilled some of its excess lifeforce into a random slime, and the slime quickly turned red with rage, as it fell under the control of the defiled god. Yet another slime was cursed with extra life, and it turned purple as it felt the wrath of the Slime God. Both slimes followed the god with no will of their own, each a testament to a different evil that would soon plague the world. Thus, the Crimulan and Ebonian Slime Gods were born, serving only to protect their master. Even so, too much life still lingered within the Slime God. Surely soon enough it would face the consequences of its actions.
