5/15/1405 Dear Old Man:

Today while hunting I nearly shot a girl's head off, not my proudest moment but... hey at least she's not dead. She's really weird though, she snapped one of my silver arrows and then thinks they're two gold tal. I don't know what kind of arrows she thinks they are but that's a complete rip off in my opinion. And another thing, she even got mad at me after I had already apologized, like what the heck, it didn't make much sense but what can you do? After everything had started to calm a bit I had asked for her name, and you wouldn't believe it. Her name was Primrose. Prim has amethyst colored eyes with her hair nearing her waist, donning a dirty blonde color, and she was about a head or so shorter than me. After that everything clicked in my head and I understood why she was so ignorant. She said she had run away from home because her parents wouldn't treat her like the age she was. I understand why, I would have done the same if I was in her shoes in all honesty. I brought her into the village and took her to the inn so she could rest. Though in other events I've been training hard to control the power of this book and it's been going really well. I've learned how to harness more of its energy into my weapons. Other than that general life has been really good as well, the only downside was they had told me to go and start working towards greater things so I reluctantly agreed. I haven't really found a full reason to leave the village yet but I feel if I stay with Prim I might have a reason to soon, though I'm not sure. I'm writing this in the inn right now actually, by the time Prim had stopped demanding me to show her around the village night began to cross over the land.

After we arrived at the inn though, things only became more chaotic. The first thing Prim had tried to do upon seeing the bar was buy herself a drink. I practically had to drag her away from the bar after the bar keep had denied her several times and was about to kick us out. I sat her down and told her that now that she wasn't home she was going to have to follow the normal rules everyone else had to follow. She was clearly upset but complied and for more or less the rest of the time we spent in the lobby she was behaving. Surprisingly though, she didn't complain as much as I was expecting at first. She seemed more excited to be staying at an inn than argumentative about it. She's a strange one at that. Though I can't thank Izuna enough that I was the one to stumble upon her in the forest, instead of someone else or a guard for that matter. Though, for the princess of the kingdom of Veron, she's much different than I would have ever anticipated.
