5/17/1405 Dear Old Man:

Today Prim and I finally set out on the journey you had told me to go on. Though I had never felt as ready as I was to leave the village as I was today. I don't know if it was just because I had personally grown a lot or if it was the fact that Prim had shown up and convinced me I was ready through some form of unspoken words.

Actually speaking of, today once we started setting up camp she was acting really strange. She was sitting down and staring at the sunset one minute, and the next she was curled up in a ball quietly crying to herself. I was concerned but when I had asked her what was wrong she just shook her head and quietly said that it was nothing. Although I didn't want to drop the conversation there, it was all I could really do at the moment so I did. Once her tent was set up I helped her get down from the rock she had been sitting on and guide her into the tent. Since then she hasn't come out much, only to get some food or water every now and then. I hadn't seen her for basically the rest of the night.

The next morning when I awoke Prim seemed just fine. It threw me off, though after a while I just decided it would be best to ignore it for now seeing we were still in the woods after all. After we had packed up everything she was more or less back to her cheery self. We had set off towards Goldenseal once again and nothing really eventful happened for the duration of the journey there. Once we had arrived in the town of Goldenseal it didn't seem like anything special. It's architecture consisted of mostly wooden buildings, the pathways made of hard cobblestone, there was lots of farmland outside of the town that was filled with wheat plants, and nearer to the center of town there was a massive garden that held other vegetables like carrots, potatoes, and radishes. The air had the smell of animals on it, and the faint sound of pigs and cows could be heard off towards the west from the town square. All around, Goldenseal just felt like the agricultural center of Veron, it was a sight to see, I wish you could have seen it with us though. At least you may be able to have some idea of how nice the town was through these journal entries, if they reach you somehow.
