The week it took for Sam to finally check up on Dream therefore finding out Tommy was actually alive, the two blonds talked like friends, it had been a while since it had been genuine and not some form of manipulation. But both of them found this nice. Sure Tommy was still weary around Dream but it was reasonable enough. Dream opened up about the Spirit, George and Sapnap problem. While Tommy finally was able to make himself admit to he did something's wrong.

But the nice moment was of course ruined by none other than the prison warden himself.

Footsteps echoed as the lava fell, the warden was pacing on the other side. Tommy's eyes lit up with hope and happiness as the lava fell while Dreams drifted to one's of guilt and fear.

When the lava finally dropped the atmosphere in the got heavy.

"Tommy?!" Sam ran over to the bridge, going right over to Dream hooking him up to the shackles on the wall.

"Your okay?!" With Dream now stuck to the wall the creeper hybrid ran to Tommy lifting the boy up focusing wholly on the kid.

"yeah... i'm fine sam." the blond boys voice lacked the urgency that it once did. "He was pretty chill contrary to my first predictions.." Tommy smiled at the unusually skinny blond chained to the wall.

"Yeah well... Your alright now. we'll get you out and you can go home." The creeper hybrid smiled like he actually accomplished something.

"I have a couple requests..." Tommy spoke warily.

"Tom don't." Dream grumbled from the wall catching the attention of the warden.

"Quite Dream." Glaring at said man, before looking over at tommy with softer eyes "What are your requests kid?" Helping the blond up and walking them over to the bridge.

"That Dream comes with me."

The room went eerily quiet, and the air felt hard to breath.

"What."

"I don't need it." Dream spoke quietly not wanting to push the warden into some fit in front of Tommy.

Not that it helped any.. Tommy and Sam were having a stare down. Tommy's gaze strong and determined.. And Sams confused but angry.

"How about.. time outside..." Sam bargained.

Tommy looked over to Dream, noting is frail frame and tired eyes.

"and better food." Tommy spoke as if it wasn't a request.

The warden let out a slight growl the thought of wasting actual food food on the prisoner.. but if it made Tommy get out of the cell.

"Fine." finally pushing Tommy towards the bridge.

When they reached the other side, Sam pressed a button that released the binds on Dream. the man immediately weakly falling to the ground. Tommy's head whipped around looking at the slumped over figure with worry and sadness. He and Dream may be enemies..but no person deserves this.

1 month later

Tommy was sat outside against the tree, finally having a moment of peace. The constant fighting between Wilbur and Phil was stressful, and just made the boy want to be out more. Tommy remembered always seeing Dream sitting in the middle of a field or on a hill whenever there was peace on the server, and he finally understands why...there's a calming kind of nature that comes with it.

Of course, Dreams connection to the world made it more calming for the man, but in Tommy's opinion just the breeze and the quiet surrounding was enough.

"Tom!"

The peace was disturbed...

But once he realized who it was, maybe it wasn't as disturbed as he thought.

Tommy's POV

Dream was walking over with Sam trailing behind. The older blond was still frail and weak, the food didn't get a ton better.. but from raw potatoes to bread and butter is a big jump. I remember about a week after I was released, I had asked about the food. Sam told me about the change and about how Dream was struggling to eat it. Last time I actually saw the older was before I left. He was all skin and bones.. nothing like the big mighty villain he used to be.

Of course he's still strong, I'm not saying that he's weak. I'm just saying he won't be swinging and jumping through the trees or duelling random people any time soon. But from experience... Dream didnt really need physical strength to be...well 'strong'.

He's a very manipulative fellow when he needs to be, and that gets him favours. And I also found out Punz was still on Dreams side.. I swear we gotta keep an eye on those two. I really see why they're called staged duo.

3rd person POV

Dream got over to the other blond and sat with him.

"Don't tell me your here to lock me up again" Tommy joked, smirking at the unimpressed look on Sams face.

Dream just laughed and shook his head, copying how Tommy was sitting before against the tree.

Immediately, you could feel the aura of the land change, it became almost happier? The breeze was softer, and sounded as if it were whispers. The grass swayed gracefully, and the birds chirped happily.

'This guys really does have a connection to the land...' Tommys mind provided.

"Thank you.." Dream said out of no where. He still had his eyes closed with a soft smile, and leaned against the tree. Looking at him you'd never guess who he was.. and used to be.

"For what?"

"Everything really..."
