I slipped on a white fuzzy sweat shirt and blue jeans and some boots with my hair in a high pony. I was hanging out with max today but he wouldn't say where we are going so I chose a casual look.
"Hurry up!" Max called from the living room.
"Coming!" I yelled back.
Ok it is official I have a crush on max. A big crush on him. But my hopes are not too high.
"I don't want to pry in to your life but why where you in the hospital on Wednesday?" He said softly.
That was a touchy question but I felt the need to tell him. He saw me there and he knows I have a problem. And he said I am his friend sooo I have to tell him.
"Well umm I uhh." I said panicking inside.
"Hey calm down if it's personal its totally fine I mean we all have secrets."
He said calmly.
"I am dying. Of bone cancer and not many people know so please don't tell any one." I said. All of a sudden I felt a warm hand on my face and only then did I realize I was crying.
I looked into his soft eyes and saw kindness and love and sympathy.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" He blurted.
I was in shock . Is he...? No. He can't like me.
"Nope I am single as a breeze in a dessert." I said.
" well I need to tell you somthing."
Wow I never knew my heart could go this fast!
"You do know I go to your school." He said.
"Yes I have seen you around but never really met you." I said shyly.
"Ya well ever scince i saw you in 7th grade I have always liked you and when I saw you looking at me in the hospital I thought it was my chance to meet you." He said softly.
"I am glad you took that chance. " I said.
"Me too." He said.
" I like you too you know ." I said. He smiled. Dang I love his smile. Next thing I know we are inches apart. Then in the snap of my fingers his lips touched mine and his kiss was soft and innocent and pure. It was not a long kiss but not a peck either.
"I know this is weird but will you be my... Girlfriend?" He said nervously.
I thought for a moment and stood on my tip toes to give him and soft kiss on the lips.
"Does that answer your question?" I said smugly.
"It does." He said happily. We were soon arm in arm at my favorite park. For once in my life I thanked my cancer because if we had not met at the hospital we might have never met.
