Droplets

You're sitting on the floor, cross legged in the middle of a clearing in the woods.

You focus on your senes, the trees around you, the birds chirping and the way the grass moved with the wind.

Your hands are held a few inches above the ground, plams facing down.

But when you gently start to raise them, small droplets follow.

You slowly raise to your feet, the droplets of water following your hands with your every movement.

Noticing this, a smile appears across your face as the water makes small contact with your hands.

You feel a small tingly feeling due to how cold the water is.

But you brush that aside and start to hum a tune, dancing to the rhythm you remember.

Wherever your hands went, the water droplets followed, creating a long chain as you continued to move around the clearing.

As you were stuck in a trance like sequence, you didn't notice the figure standing amongst the trees at the edge of the clearing watching your every move.

The figure kept watching you, his eyes slowly slowly refraining themselves from glowing anymore as a small smile spread across his face.

He watched you for what felt like ages. Not in a creepy way, more like a loving way.

He loved the delicacy to your every movement, how your eyes lit up when you completed a new move you hadn't tried before and the way your nose scrunched up when the water accidentally touched you.

This went on for ages, every time you went back to that clearing, he would too.

Only to watch, never to speak something about the way you used your supernatural ability made him feel safe.

Eventually you started to notice he was there when the water kept trying to lead off without your asking.

You stopped dancing and let it flow through the air on a pathway towards the trees.

When the water stopped directly infront of a tree trunk, it started to go up towards the leaves.

So you held your hands out beside you and the part of ground beneath your feet started to rise.

You kept rising until you came face to face with a boy sitting in the tree with wide eyes.

Your eyes widened as you locked eyes with him.

"I'm sorry I...uhm...I don't have an excuse for..."

You could tell he was going into full rambling mode and giggled making him stop and look at you with wide eyes.

"It's okay, I know you've been watching me for quite a while now. The elements talk to me"

"I haven't been watching you for that long I..."

"The water kept trying to make it's own path starting a couple weeks ago. If I didn't know better I'd say you've been watching me longer than that"

"That's not...you're not wrong"

Your eyebrow quirked and you tilted your head a little "Then why have you been watching me for things long?"

"Well I lost control..."

"Lost control?"

"I'm supernatural...a werewolf"

"Oh"

"Yes...I lost control and I stumbled across the clearing in the woods. Then I found you, you looked so peaceful and it was enchanting to watch. You stopped me from shifting"

Your cheeks quickly grew warm and you turned your head away from the boy, knowing what he meant.

You're his anchour and he doesn't even know himself.

"What's your name?"

You turned to look back at him "I'm Y/n, Y/n L/n. What's yours?"

"Liam...Liam Dunbar. You have a really pretty name"

"Thank you...could I ask something?" He nodded at you, encouraging you to continue so you did "If I calmed you down as easily as you're saying I did, then you should know what it means"

"I didn't think it had a meaning"

"It means I'm your anchor..."

He smiles at you and gently reaches out, until his hand kindly interlaced with yours.
