Since Grandpa's death, Nathan hadn't left his room. Dad had locked himself in his study throwing himself into work and making sure CA wouldn't suffer while Daniel, Lex, and Fallon had started to check up on us more often. I was sitting playing on my PlayStation when my door opened Daniel and Lex walked in followed by Fallon.

"Hey, how are you feeling about tomorrow?" Lex asked. I shrugged.

"I know that Grandpa and I didn't always see eye-to-eye especially since I came out as bi-sexual but before that, we were pretty close so I don't know how to feel about him being gone," I said.

"Are you okay?" Daniel asked.

"I'm okay," I said.

"Are you sure?" Fallon asked. I nodded. "Is Dylan coming tomorrow?"

"Nope," I said.

"So that's Dylan and Jordan not coming tomorrow," Lex said.

"How did Jordan get out of this?" I asked.

"I'm *cough* *cough* sick," Jordan said standing in the doorway with a blanket around her shoulders.

"I smell bullshit," I said.

"Language," Daniel, Lex, and Fallon said. Jordan laughed walking away.

"Kids," Dad yelled.

"You have one child," Daniel yelled back. "The rest of us are adults,"

"We're reading grandpa's will," Dad yelled.

"I'll go get Nathan," Fallon said.

"I'm coming," I said. Fallon and I walked to Nathan's room and found him scrolling through his phone.

"Hey, have you eaten this morning?" Fallon asked. Nathan shook his head. "How about I order you breakfast?"

"I'm just gonna have a bowl of cereal," Nathan said.

"Okay. They're about to read the first part of Grandpa's will and Dad wants us all downstairs," Fallon said. Nathan stood up and we walked downstairs. Nathan sat on the arm of Fallon's chair. I stood beside Daniel who had his arm wrapped around me.

"Per Mr. Carrington's last will and testament, his instructions for his funeral are as follows: "He's to be dressed in a plain black suit from Harrow & Sons in London, and placed in a simple oak casket," Anders read.

"A man of the people till the very end," Fallon said running her hand through Nathan's hair.

"White Miltonia orchids will fill the sanctuary, and the casket will be taken to Oakland Cemetery in a hearse drawn by a team of Belgian black horses accompanied by a brass band," Anders said.

"Spoke too soon," Fallon said.

"Not like he's here to enjoy it," Dad said.

"Everyone deserves a last hurrah, don't they?" Steven asked.
