I walked downstairs and found Fallon walking through the foyer.

"Where are you going?" Fallon asked. I didn't get to answer as the door opened and in walked Mom.

"What are you doing behind enemy lines?" Fallon asked.

"Is that your breakfast?" Mom gestured to the plate of chocolates in Fallon's hand.

"Don't judge me," Fallon said.

"Have Mrs. Gunnerson pack it up, and take it to the hospital," Mom said.

"Culhane's mother was clear I stay away. Tiny confections won't change her mind," Fallon said.

"Mothers usually know best, but we're not always right. Though my record's better than most. I did have a sixth sense about Liam and Dylan," Mom said.

"I knew you'd slip that in there," Fallon said.

"I have one about Michael, too. A good kind," Mom said.

"Don't push it," Fallon said.

"I just wanna see you happy again. And if that means being with Culhane, then don't let anything stop you," Mom kissed Fallon's cheek and went to do the same to me.

"Back the fuck up. You wouldn't know how to make me happy if it hit you in the face because you still don't know me," I said. "So stay out of my life because it'll be a cold day in hell before I need you," I said walking out. Fallon walked out to the drive.

"She still isn't answering your calls?" Fallon asked.

"We spoke yesterday but she's gone back to New York with Liam. She asked for a break," I said.

"Because I yelled at her? You didn't do anything wrong," Fallon said.

"She changed her name to get away from drama and landed into a pool of Carrington drama. Besides she's busy with exams so we don't really have time for each other right now," I said.

"I'm sorry Spence," Fallon said.

"Don't worry about it. I'm learning to roll with the punches," I said.

"Where are you going?" Fallon asked.

"Georgia Tech is running a seminar on AI technology," I said.

"Okay, why don't we go for lunch later?" Fallon asked.

"We should invite Lex too," I said.

"Lex is busy with Daniel and the babies," Fallon said.

"I'd better get going," I said. Fallon kissed my head and I got in the car and drove off.

Timeskip

I finished the seminar and sat in my car eating a breakfast burrito and an iced coffee. My phone lit up with a text from Fallon.
