The Silver family was... complex.
Mona daily prayed she would never end up like her father, or her grandfather, or her great-grandfather.
Billy Silver hated his father as much as Mona did. Being a single father, Mona was all he had. But no matter how hard he tried, it seemed there was nothing he could do to repair their relationship.
It all began when Mona's mother died. She left a giant gaping hole in the family and left Billy with no idea how to fill it. Mona became angry, aggressive, and troubled.
The summer before Mona's junior year, Billy moved them to the Valley. It was mostly for a job opportunity, but also for new beginnings. He wanted to put the past behind them and hopefully see a change in Mona's behavior.
She seemed open to the idea, and willing to move.
But the only problem was that no matter where Mona Silver went, she would bring trouble with her.
