Sages pov-

I don't know why, but I cried more than ever that night. It wasn't like it even mattered. It's not like I loved her. Right?

I looked over at the clock sitting on my nightstand.

2:54 am

Fuck. I whispered to myself. As I rolled over to face my window.r ain pounded on my window. Part of me just wanted to apologize to Macy, but I knew I couldn't. I knew it was too late, and I needed to focus on my dreads, because if I didn't. It would end badly. So I fell asleep.

My alarm blared in my ear, I sat up fast, almost too fast. As soon as I registered what happened I fell back into my soft pillow.

During that day I couldn't help but look for aMacy. She was in my first period class, and I saw her. We didn't talk. We didn't say anything during that class. I found it harder to focus, but I brushed it off thinking it was just because of yesterday. So I went throughout my day.

At lunch I was talking with my friends, I wasn't really paying much attention to the conversion before I heard Macy's name.

"Oh my god, did you hear Macy was lesbain?" Jane said to one of my other friends.

"What?" i asked stepping in, curiosity

"Yeah i heard she like fucking some girl, theres a picture of them kissing. we just need to find who the other one is." Jane said.

The other fried, lily chimed in,

"Yeah i heard it was a girl in our grade, apparently by the person who took the picture posted it on instagram."

I responded with an oh

"Hey, didn't you tutor Macy? Was she really such a fag?" Lily asked me.

"What the fuck, no. why would you ask me that." I responded quickly. They took it back. I realized I sounded defensive.

"Well, I mean, she was nice. But she was a bitch a lot of the time.'" I said, almost embarrassed.

"I thought you two hated each other. lily said

"I mean yeah. I said again, crossing my arms.

"Why are you being so defensive? Lily asked, getting closer to me.

"I'm not. I said while hugging my shoulders.

"Fine ok, weirdo. she said as the lunch bell rang. Lily walked away.

"Damn Sage, you didn't have to be so rude to her. Jane said

"Sorry. I said back to her.

"This is my class. Bye.

"Bye," I replied. Before walking to my own class
