( Harry's POV )
"Don't. Get. Involve. With. Louis." Those five simple words haunt me as I walk towards the abandoned train station. Who knew something to simple can stay in your mind. I shake my head trying to get rid of those words from my mind.
Mr Payne doesn't have any right to tell me what I can and can't do.
I stop in my tracks and just stare at the ground. The empty field surrounding me, the train tracks ahead of me.
I know Mr Payne is just trying to protect Louis, but he's my friend too. And he's just the most amazing person ever. There's no way I can just stay away from him. There's no way. Not in million years.
I kick the grass in frustration. Tearing it apart and between my shoes and ground. I stop when I noticed I tore apart some dandelions and some pink flowers I don't recognize.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." I whisper so only me and the flowers can hear. My mother taught me to respect everything. Even the simplest thing.
I look around me and there's flowers everywhere. Somehow I didn't notice them till now. Perhaps I should pick some for Louis, I'm sure he'll like them.
I pick up a couple of dandelions and those pink flowers. I make my way down the tracks and follow them to the platform. I put my hands behind my back making sure Louis doesn't see me holding the flowers.
I reach the platform and go up the few steps. "Hi Louis!" I see him sitting there reading his diary.
He looks up at me in a daze from reading. He lights up when he recognizes it's me. "Hello Harry." He says and gives me a smile. "Are you holding something behind you?" He cranes his neck trying to see what I'm holding behind my back.
"Close your eyes, Louis! I have a surprise for you!" He looks at me confused for a few seconds but does what I say. He closes his eyes and covers them with his hands. "Okay." He says when he's ready.
I walk slowly towards him. Making sure I really want to give him flowers. What if he doesn't like them? Or is allergic to them. No, I'm sure he'll like them. I shake off the thoughts and stand in front of him.
I place the flowers in front of him, still holding on to them. "Okay, Louis. Open your eyes now!"
He removes his hands from on top of his eyes and he opens his eyes. He stares out in front of me, looking at the flowers. "Oh, flowers?"
"Yeah. I saw them and thought of you, Lou." I smile. I hand him the flowers and he takes them.
He takes them but continues to stare at them. What if he doesn't like them? I frown at the thought of it. "What's wrong? You don't like them?"
He shakes his head. "No. It's just....just that nobody has ever given me flowers before."
Oh. "Well I guess I'm the first."
"Thank you, Harry." He smells the flowers and smiles.
I take a sit next to him. "You're welcome, love."
