"THAT WAS BOTH REALLY COOL AND DISGUSTING," Peter spoke with a higher tone than usual, his hand over his chest as his body still shook with chuckles. The second the pair had left the room, immediately being shooed out by the Professor, they had collapsed into a fit of giggles in the hallway. It wasn't even particularly that funny, but every time they made eye contact they would start to laugh again.

"I'm really good at getting out of sticky situations," she mused, falling into step beside him as they wordlessly had decided to head towards the exit of the media building.

"Yeah me too, usually," he commented, amusing himself as he thought of all the '/sticky' situations he had found himself in. Much more far-fetched than anything his companion had experienced, he was certain.

The last fifteen minutes of his life had been certainly strange. Anyone that knew Peter would admit he wasn't the best at making friends, his awkward personality and introverted nature made it extremely difficult to find and keep any, combined with the fact he had no time to himself. Except for Harry and Gwen, but that was a whole other story he didn't feel like giving thought to at that moment in time, lest it ruin his mood.

But somehow he had struck an instantaneous bond with this random stranger, who he had stumbled upon twice in the last twenty-four hours, and it was sending his head spinning. She was a lot more confident than him, that was for sure - and just as she hadn't batted an eyelid upon meeting Spider-Man she hadn't batted an eyelid when Peter Parker admitted his parents died either.

Either 'Blair' really had no care in the world, or she had experienced too much of it herself.

Similar thoughts were running through Delaney's head.

Delaney Knight was good at making friends, her charming personality and confidence to approach others had made sure of that. But the blonde wasn't all that good at keeping them, entirely a fault of her own. Despite doing it so often, Delaney actually hated lying to people. She wanted others to call her by her real name, to give her a present on her actual birthday, to meet her dog and have a coffee with her at her real address. But these were all things Delaney couldn't do, and the more she had to reject all of these things from all the friends that entered and exited her life the more she strayed away from relationships altogether.

It was a decision she had come to in high school - deciding that above all, she still had her family and if she had to sacrifice friends and boyfriends for their safety it was just something she had to do. But Delaney was lonely, desperately so, and if she wasn't mistaken she could smell the same reek of loneliness off of Peter Parker too.

Throwing caution to the wind and deciding that she should at least try for the first time in four years to have an acquaintance that she would try to keep at arms length at all times, the blonde stopped mid-stride and turned to Peter with an excited smile.
