Chapter five Season one
I stayed the night with Aunt Pol to let dad have the night with his wife. To be honest, I expected her to be a complete bitch, but I was wrong. Maybe she can keep dad in a straight line so he doesn't go and do anything stupid like he always does. It was now morning and I was sitting in our old house, where Arthur, John, and Aunt Pol live, eating breakfast. "So how do you feel about Katherine?" Aunt Pol asked "I don't know, I talked a bit with her yesterday, she seems nice," I said, aunt pol only nodded "Do you think dad will grow to love her?" I asked looking at aunt pol, she turned to me smiling sadly "I think he will" she said.
I spent some time with my uncles before I went home, I wanted to get to know Katherine, she's quite young, only 9 years older than me. But I was born when dad was 14.
I was at home looking for Katherine and dad, I heard a door shut upstairs, so my dad is probably in his office. I heard he talk to someone so I just went inside, and Katherine was there "I have been looking all over the house for you" I said and grabbed Katherine's arm and dragged her out, she yelped and I laughed and dragged her to the kitchen.
"What are we doing?" she asked, "Baking," I said she looked at me weirdly "Come on, I want to at least get to know the woman who married my father" I said she looked at em pointedly "Against my will" she said "Still, your married that means your my stepmom" I said she studied me "Don't mind me asking, but what about your mom?" she asked, I frowned "Forget I asked" she said "No, it's okay I just have never met her, she left when I was a few days old" I said, "looks like we both have mommy issues then" she said jokingly, I was glad she didn't ask more. "Tell me about your family" I said while finding ingredients "well I have and older brother James who's 30, then my sister Lorraine who's the same age as you actually and then my youngest sister Beatrice, she's 10, and then James son who's 3 years old" she said a little sadly at the end "I have always wanted siblings" i thought out loud she stiffened "So what about your parents" I changed the subject she grimaced "Well, let just say they are fucked up" she said I laughed "No, I mean it, they have ignored me my whole childhood, James was the one who raised me actually" she said "Well you don't have to worry about turning out like them, your already doing a good job" I said she chuckled and we started baking some bread.
