Chapter 21

For once, things were normal. No one was fighting with abeula or something happening with you and Camilo. It almost felt strange how peaceful it was, but all you wanted to do was take it in. You were reading a book to Antonio as you heard a knock on the door

" I'll get it! " Camilo yells as he runs to the door

He opens it and you can't quite see who it is but his expression completely changes, he had a blank face as he called for abeula

" um, abeula someone's here for you! " he shouts awkwardly

" just let them in Camilo! " she yells back

" I'm not sure I want to! " he yells back

" who is it milo? " you asked him curiously

" um just some friends of abeula " he says nervously

You get up to greet yourself to find your mother at the door

" Y/n! My baby! " my mother says trying to get a hug

" what are you doing here? " you say backing away from her

" to see my Hermana of course, we miss you Y/n. Come back " she says

" please leave " you say

" but- " she says before being cut off by the door

" Y/n I bet there's an explanation! Just talk to her " Camilo tells me

" milo, she's the reason why I couldn't be with you. Don't you hate her for that?"

" no, because I know it was a mistake " he says seriously

" they destroyed my happiness on purpose " you say

" and they did it to protect you from whatever I was doing wrong, but now you have to accept their apology "

" ok, but I get a week of me being right " I say seriously

" no, you can either accept it or not. I'm not doing your biddings " he says before walking away

" ugh " you say as you open the door but no one's there

you had to go to the one place you didn't want to go.
