Lizzie POV
I sat eating my lunch with Oli and Callum.

"How was the tutoring? Anything exciting happen?" Oli asked waggling his eyebrows at me. I rolled my eyes, typical Oli always sticking his nose where it didn't belong.

"No" I said firmly. Oli grinned at Callum.

"Something most definitely happened." He stated. I blushed. "You're just in denial."

"Hey thats not true." I pouted. I stood up and threw away my paper lunch bag. "Anyway I gotta get to class so I'll see you guys later." I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked away.

"Try not to do anything embarrassing in front of Joel or the wedding will have to be canceled!" Oli called after me.

"Oh shut up!" I yelled back. Honestly, he didn't know what he was talking about. I'm just tutoring Joel to keep my club open and nothing more.

After School

I pulled the strap of my book bag tighter over my shoulder. Where was Joel? If I had to stand here for five more minutes I swear I will-

"Looking for me?" I jumped back and turned around, it was Joel.

"Took you long enough." I glared at him, my hair had fallen out of the messy bun I had put it in earlier.

"Sorry." Of course, he didn't sound sorry at all. We made our way through the parking lot and I spotted his car it was a silver convertible, of course. Before he could open the door, I opened it myself and sat down. We rode in silence. Once we got to his house I sat on his white couch. I stared at the marbled floors.

"Back to earth nerd." I blinked. I guess I had been ogling at his house for a while. I flushed and looked at Joel. He was smirking, I glared at him.

"So what ideas did you have?" I asked primly. He laughed and sat down right next to me, showing me a mini notebook.

"So the main reason that your club is closing is because you have no funds and no members." Joel began.

"I'm still here aren't I?" I huffed.

"Of course, you're the exception. You're always the exception." He said distractedly. I frowned, what was that supposed to mean? "You need to find a way to raise more money, through activities."

"Like bake sales!" I grinned.

"Exactly." Joel beamed. We sat there for what felt like ages just awkwardly not saying anything.

"What are you guys doing?"
I turned and saw a boy my age standing in the doorway. He had dirty blond hair and wore a green T-shirt with a Minecraft slime ball on it.

"This is my friend Jimmy." Explained Joel. I nodded. Jimmy stared at the space between us or rather, the lack of space between us. I scooted away blushing.

"So are you two dating now?" He asked pointing at us. I blinked.

"No!"
"No!"

Jimmy grinned.
"Sure, maybe I should just leave 'cause it seemed like you two were pretty close a couple seconds ago." He smirked. My cheeks were burning and when I looked over at Joel the tips of his ears were bright pink.

"I'll just go home now I'll text you about the bake sale later." I muttered. I dashed out of the door and I heard Jimmy laughing behind me. As I walked home I let out a long breath, Joel and I? Not a chance, we hate each other. Right?

Lizzie:
Hey I'm gonna come over tomorrow so we can bake some cupcakes kay?

Rich Donkeyhole:
I'll have the tools ready
You bring the ingredients

Lizzie:
Fine

The Next Day

I rang the doorbell to Joels house, he opened the door immediately almost like he'd been waiting there for me to come. "Hey" I said awkwardly.

"Uh, hi" he replied. I stepped inside the threshold and walked to the kitchen. I carefully unpacked the cake mix and other ingredients from my bag. "Cake mix?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. I flushed.

"Well, um, I don't exactly know how to make cupcakes by hand so..." I trailed off. He laughed.

"Me neither, good thinking." Joel admitted. I smirked.

"I guess we better get started then." I sighed, if there was anything I was bad at, it was baking.
