"Ivy, smile for the camera!" My Dad said, pointing at the Sony camera Mom was holding. Everyone around me started singing happy birthday, my smiling face in the middle of them all. Mom and Dad of course where the loudest singers of them all, practically making me deaf! After the song, Dad smiled at me and said, "dig in my 2 year old princess!" So I did, my whole face covered with pink frosting. "That's gonna be a pain to wash off!" Mom sighed, "but I can't be mad! Happy 2nd birthday our Ivy Bear!"*************
"Pose! Yes just like that!" The photographer said, twisting the camera side to side. I had on a floral dress covered in roses and tulips, along with a pearl necklace. The theme was '1920's Actress'. I had a large black feather in my hair, almost highlighting my dark brown hair. "Yes!" Natalie cheered from the side, almost tripping on a cord. I looked at her disturbed, trying my hardest not to care. But I couldn't. She was a menace to society.
"Natalie, I need you to leave. I can't focus with you here." I said, eyeballing her. "Yes of course Miss Ivy, anything for you!" She squeaked happily, marching out. "Do you always do that?" A raspy voice said, startling me as the photographer turned away. "Parker get out of here! We're having a shoot." The photographer said, "I'm so sorry Miss Greene, this is my son, Parker."
Parker had the most luscious brown hair that shone in the afternoon light. "No but seriously, do you always act like that?" Parker then walked toward me. "Guys let's all just take a five minute break okay? Everyone be ready in 5." The photographer said, walking away.
Parker stood in front of me, holding out his hand for me. I grabbed it and stood up, completely ignoring his question. "Come on, I'm being a gentlemen." "Leave me alone. You are just like everyone else. Not wanting to know my actual feeling." I then turned away, walking towards my dressing room. I didn't want him to know how attracted I was to him. I was almost 18, and he looked about 19. "Fine, what's your feeling then, Ivy Greene." Parker grinned, pointing to the name tag on my mirror.
"Just go okay? You're really getting on my nerves. And I cannot have any extra wrinkles today." I said angrily, grabbing a makeup brush and touching up my eye shadow. "If you say so, Miss Greene." He winked, exiting my dressing room.
I wanted to ask him out so bad, but I didn't want to risk it. He was obviously into me, but I didn't feel comfortable in the waters yet. It was almost like I was getting hypothermia by the minute. I hoped to see him again.
