Shawn and I arrive at a beautiful waterfront restaurant and step out of the black SUV I follow behind him and we are escorted to our private table. It is absolutely gorgeous on a peak overlooking the beautiful bay in Mallorca. The water is aqua blue and the sun is setting over the horizon.

The table was set in a white table cloth and black chairs with a pretty candlelit centerpiece. We have the entire outdoor space to ourselves that Shawn arranged so we wouldn't have any distractions from fans glancing at us eating waiting to get a picture or trying to say hello. Shawn pulls by chair out for me like a true gentleman. We sit down and the waiter takes our order and brings us over a bottle of white wine.
"This is stunning Shawn" I say
"I know the views are amazing. I can't wait to start filming the music video and getting out in the water" he says
"I know I'm so excited for Summer of Love!"
"This has been a long process but I'm ready to introduce a new sound to my fans and a new me!" He says
"The song is so much brighter and happier and I notice that really reflects how you have been lately. What has changed?" I ask
Shawn stares directly at me with his soft brown eyes. His hair is hanging down as he pauses for a moment still not breaking eye contact and brushes his hair out of his way and smiles.
"You. You have made me so much happier these last few weeks and especially days. Con you have really shown me that I can be myself and embrace who I'am. For years I have been in the public spotlight and tried to portray myself as someone I'm not. I tried to deny my insecurities like my "gay" voice of my slight feminine mannerisms. So thank you Con" he says still smiling.
"Shawn that is all I wanted for you as your best friend was for you to be happy being yourself. You mean so much to me and I'm glad I could help you figure your sexuality out." I say "But, I do have one question for you." I pause and you can see his smile fade and his thoughts scramble as to what I'm going to ask the obvious question in the room. "Where do we stand?" I blurt out
I don't want to be some sexual experiment for him and then get my heart broken when he decides to peruse a relationship with a hotter gay guy like Troye Sivan or Tom Holland.
Shawn doesn't even pause to think he just says "I genuinely like you Connor and if you are willing I want to peruse a relationship with you."
"Are you asking me to be your boyfriend Shawn Peter Raul Mendes?" I snicker back
"Yes Connor, Will you be my boyfriend?" He asks reaching over the table grabbing my smaller hand a in his larger ones.
"Yes I will Shawn, I will be your boyfriend!" I say earning a giant grin from Shawn.
"Yay! I have been thinking a lot about "coming out" publicly and I understand why people do it but I don't think I want to make a big deal of it and do a whole post I think if we get caught out in public holding hands and kissing then it will be obvious enough. I don't want to hide who I'am any longer I have been doing that for far too long" Shawn says
I'm so happy Shawn feels that way as that was one of my fears was being his boyfriend but only inside the four walls of his condo in Toronto or something like that.
"How are you going to handle that with your PR team and management team?" I ask
"I'm going to have a meeting with them tomorrow before the shoot starts in the morning at the hotel and we can discuss how we approach the press moving forward."
Our food arrives right as Shawn is explaining about what he wants to talk about to his management team. We both ordered the Steak dish and it looks delicious.
We continue to talk about our future together and our plans right after we wrap the music video shoot and me staying with Shawn in Toronto for the foreseeable future. The dinner is wrapping up as we have finished eating and have been talking for over an hour after we finished eating just finishing the bottle of wine and laughing.
"Are you ready to head out?" Shawn asks
"Sure, are we heading back to the hotel?" I ask
"Not yet I have one more surprise for you" he says standing up fixing his hair once again and coming over to take my hand.
"What is it?" I question
"Can't tell you yet it is a surprise?" He says pulling me by the hand out of the restaurant. We reach the SUV and I hop in the back seat cuddled next to my boyfriend.
About 10 minutes later we arrive at what appears to be a port in Mallorca.
"What are we doing here?" I ask
"Come with me" he says taking my hand and dragging me out of the SUV. We reach the end of the dock and I see a large yacht approaching.
"We are staying on this yacht tonight!" He says
"OMG That yacht is huge!" I say

The yacht has a pool and hot tub on the back and a helipad on the front. It is the nicest boat I have ever seen.
"You rented a fucking yacht for the night?" I say shocked
"Yup" he says "we can relax for a few hours by the pool and hot tub with some drink then we have a private suite to spend the night in."
