Warning: drugging and rape attempt

The restaurant was dimly lit with jazz music. I arrived a little earlier than the appointed time and sat at the counter to avoid being shown to a private room or a secluded seat. Of course, I don't drink. The brown liquid in my glass is oolong tea.

As this was the top floor of the hotel, I could see the night view from the window. It's a shame that Shiraishi is the only one who can be present in such a nice atmosphere, but I can't help it.

"Hi, you're early."

"Shiraishi-san, you're the one. It's only 8:40."

"I just happened to finish work early."

Shiraishi came a little earlier than the designated time. It was a good thing I came thirty minutes ago.

"Shall we move to the back seat? It's more comfortable."

"No, I'll stay where I am."

"Really? Well, okay then."

Shiraishi ordered a highball and offered me a drink as well, but I politely declined.

"Well, wait a minute. I just finished my work in a hurry and have just arrived. Please give me some time to moisten my throat."

"I'm sorry about that."

I was annoyed, but I was the one who needed to be informed. I'm not in the mood for a toast, but I couldn't leave Shiraishi waiting with his glass raised, so I had no choice but to pull it closer.

"I heard that you are leaving the company?"

"Yeah, where did you hear about it?"

"I overheard about it during sales."

Shiraishi and I are in the same sales area, so it's not surprising that he overheard someone talking about it at some point. But the fact that someone I don't like knows information about me makes me feel uncomfortable.

"So, you're saying you've fallen on hard times? It's easy when your parents are good, isn't it? It's easy to get a new job, and even if you're an omega and not capable, the other employees can't complain if you're the boss's kid.
Are you going to take over the company in the future? If I were working for your parents' company, I would consider changing jobs. Being the president of Omega, the future of the company is bleak, and I'd be too embarrassed to name the company."

"What ifs are pointless. It's as impossible as the sun rising in the west for Shiraishi-san to work for my parents' company."

(People like you are not needed in my parents' company.)

Shiraishi, who correctly understood the meaning behind the words, showed a grim expression for a moment, but he seemed to have decided that it was not a good idea to raise his voice in this situation and endured it by drinking his highball.

When Shiraishi looked, and as if he knew what he was doing, the bartender put down the second glass without making a sound. Twice up this time. It seems that Shiraishi is a very regular drinker.

"Your glass is empty, Mr. Suzunari. If you don't like to drink, why don't you have a non-alcoholic cocktail?

"No, the same one."

Shiraishi shrugged his shoulders as I ordered a second glass of oolong tea, and slowly tipped his glass. We spent about thirty minutes exchanging information without making the atmosphere sour and it was time to get down to business.

"Shiraishi-san, what you'd like to talk to me?"

"Oh, you mean that? That's a lie. If there was such a thing, your manager would have been the first to move."
