Keep a Secret?

Introduction

I'm sure everyone has a side they don't want everyone to see...

"Morning Alisa!" I heard a familiar voice call out to me. I smiled at the jogging figure which came closer and closer. "Morning Elaine! What happened?" She hugged me with full force that I thought I was going to fall out of my chair.

I laughed at my energetic friend. "Hey! Guess what?" Trying to calm down my laughter I was finally able to ask what was up. "English is first period... And... I need to borrow notes. Can I?" I sighed, knowing she would ask me this sooner or later. I got out my notes and gave her a pencil to use.

"Do you also need an eraser? I know you always lose them." She looked at me, her face shocked. "Alisa!!! I'll pay you back tomorrow alright?!! You're an angel!!" She hugged me once again. I pushed her away and told her to just copy the notes. She agreed and went on to copying.

She was almost done with copying until she asked me a question. "Hey Alisa? A friend of mine, in a different school, asked for your email. Can I give it to him?" I shook my head. "Elaine. Tell him if he wants it then he has to ask me directly." Elaine pouted as she continued with the notes. "Aw again? That's the fifth one this week. Can't I just tell him?"

I laughed quietly as she shrugged, going back to copying. "Alisa. You dropped this." I looked up as I saw Cole, one of our classmates, give me an eraser. "Huh. I must've dropped it. Thanks Cole!" I smiled at him as he nodded back. He left us, going back to his seat.

"You know Alisa? Cole is like one of those dark type of guys. Though it's not something new. He's like those depressed kind of guy don't you think?" I kept quiet as she gave me more theories about how he was smoking before in middle school. Although he isn't really social I can't judge him. I don't even know him!

"Oh! I forgot!" Elaine said, pulling me out of my train of thought. "Alisa can you go to karaoke with us tomorrow? It'll be fun!" Knowing the answer to it I immediately told her no. "Well it's the same old, same old. Huh? Come with us next time alright?" I nodded.

As long as you don't try to find it out. You may never see someone's true self.

That's typically how it is...

Of course.

It's not like it was any different for me.
