Your other side

Monday came around and I was in a hellish mood. 'He... He saw me without my makeup. He saw me in my casual clothes... He saw me. And at that moment I thought, maybe it wasn't bad that he saw me. I mean I saw him too. A whole new side of him though. I looked at him from where I was seated and he was alone as usual.

No one really wanted to talk to him since they all think he's some kind of bad person. I gathered up my courage and stood up, interrupting my conversation with Elaine and Justin. They looked at me in a confused way but I ignored it. Walking his way I gave him a wave. "Hi. Uh.. Um.. Cole? Can we talk?"

"Huh? I can come over at your place anytime?!!" He said with a surprised tone. I told him to shush it down and he immediately shut his mouth. I sighed in relief and nodded, answering his question. "But it's only because Brandon wants you there. He likes playing with you." He nodded and smiled a bit.

I was surprised... I haven't really seen him smile before.. It was cute.

Cole has come to my house ever since and I've learned a lot about him. How he isn't really a delinquent, he doesn't smoke, he has 9 piercings and tattoos all over his sides. That shocked me at first but overtime I got used to it. This guy's just full of surprises... His family even owns a bakery shop so he brings cakes over to our house sometimes.

Cole has been a great help to me and Brandon. He helps us clean up the house and gets us groceries too. Like last time there was a sale in the market. There was an unexpected SGA meeting and he told me he'd get the groceries himself. I said to him a thousand thank yous.

Apparently the moment the bell rang, he rushed out of the school. He told me that he took off his glasses, his jacket and sprinted all the way there. He even jumped over the fence over our school. Right now he sat on the couch exhausted from buying the groceries. "Seriously!! Alisa! I don't know how you do it but those moms and grandmas are scary on sales..."

I laughed and gave him dinner since he stayed at our house so late. We were both studying for tests and I was helping him. His test scores... Uh.. Aren't really that great, to put it nicely. We laughed over jokes and ate dinner as we studied. Brandon came over time to time since he was bored.

"You know, Alisa?" I mumbled a 'Yes?' while I glanced over to him. "I ran into your friend... What was her name? Elly? Eleanor?" I corrected him saying 'Elaine' "mhm yeah! Her! She saw me jump over the fence. We exchanged some words... Well kinda." He blushed a bit and looked away.

He looked pretty nervous, but I shrugged it off. "So she saw you? Did you have a conversation or anything?" I said as I took a spoonful of food from my plate. "Like did she see you the way you are right now?" He glanced at me answering my question with a 'Yes'. All of a sudden I felt.. sad. Gloomy maybe. It didn't make sense.

"I guess... I just don't want anyone else know about this side of you..."

He looked at me. Shocked by what I had just said. D-Did I just say that out loud? "Uh n-never mind I'll get some more water i-if you don't mind me." I stood up from my seat and hurriedly walked to the kitchen. I sighed thinking maybe he'll forget what I said just now.

I came in to the dining room with my cold glass of water. "Uh.. Alisa." I looked at him as he said what he had said. "I feel the same way... This side of you... Like the fact that you can cook, and the fact you can yell pretty loud when you're mad, and that you don't really care about your hair or makeup at home." I blushed with each word he said out of his mouth.

It was too embarrassing and I couldn't take it anymore but he kept on going. "I don't think I'd like it if anybody else found out about that." I walked closer thinking maybe he was done with his little speech already. I was standing next to him already as he still continued. "It kinda feels like.." He looked up at me with those beautiful eyes of his... Ugh what am I thinking?!

"Like.. This time was made only for me. You know?" He smiled right at me as he said his final piece. I stood there just staring at him as he did the same... Did he just say what I think he just said? The words finally sunk into my brain and I blushed harder.

"Do-DONT SAY STUPID THINGS LIKE THAT DUMMIE!!" I yelled at him accidentally punching him with my glass of water. He yelled out the words "YEOCH THATS COLD" I didn't care anymore and didn't even try to make eye contact with him. He was rubbing his cheek where I had punched him with the glass.

Brandon came in trying to figure out what the noise was about. He took a seat trying to figure out why Cole had a bruise and why I was so red. Ugh that Cole! Does he not know how embarrassing that was? And he was able to say those words so calmly too.

"Idiot! You stupid idiot!!" Brandon went to Cole and sat beside him. "You know big bro? Big sis, when she starts saying idiot to someone, she never stops." Cole looked at me as I glared at him (it wasn't really scary since she was blushing) saying 'Idiot' over and over again.

Cole started to laugh agreeing with what Brandon told him. I looked at them, still embarrassed with what Cole had just said. "W-What are you laughing about?!" I 'hmph'ed at them and continued to eat the rest of my dinner.

Everyone has a side of themselves they don't want others to see

Cole was finally able to stop his laughter and so did Brandon. I didn't bother looking at the both of them anymore. "You know. I'm not really saying I don't like how you are at school, but when you get angry like that it's like you aren't trying hard to look good at home." He told me which caught my attention. I looked back at him as he said those words to me.

But we ended up accidentally finding out about each others' though

He looked at me with a smile that made my heart skip a beat.

"But when you're like that, you're cute."

That made me blush harder if that was even possible. I gritted my teeth to prevent me from smiling like crazy. Sighing at his calm personality I gave up on trying to be mad at him. "You know what! Fine! Go ahead and say whatever you want. You're an idiot you know that..." He laughed at my reaction and I turned away smiling maybe just a little bit.

Now... We both share this Time that we'll show to no one else. No one else at all.
