Mystery POV

Alisa is outgoing, and nice to everyone. So I'm not surprised that she has plenty of admirers. Even guys want to approach her.

"Hey Jacob? You noticed right?" Elaine asked me as she sipped on her drink. We were both looking at Alisa and Cole who were talking to each other on the other table. They were pretty close to each other nowadays. "They've been seen together quite a lot lately, what do you think is going on between them?"

I gritted my teeth trying to contain my inner anger. "God knows..." That was my only answer before I went back to silence. Elaine glanced at me with a worried look but knew I needed some time to myself. She went back to sipping her drink and staring at those two.

I just never thought Cole would be one of those guys...

Cole POV

"Alisa!! Can we borrow your notes? For Science?" Alisa was called out by two of her friends and excused herself from our conversation. I sighed. I guess it's nice to be great at studying, I thought as I looked at her teach her friends the formulas she taught me last time. She's a strict teacher...

As I thought of the times she taught me, someone came up to me. My seat was beside the window so he looked out, not looking at me at all. I shrugged thinking he wouldn't speak to me. "She's pretty popular don't you think?"

I flinched a bit, shocked by the new voice. I looked over at the guy who was leaning not the edge of the windowsill. He was looking at me, waiting for an answer. Looking closer the person was named Jacob Cabana, one of Alisa's best friends. "Alisa... She's been popular all her life." He continued, glancing at me from time to time.

I just stood there nodding awkwardly. Jacob never really does talk to me unless he's supposed to. "Cole...?" I looked at him feeling stiff everywhere. I could feel chills all over my body as I saw him look outside the window again.

"Lately you've been hanging around Alisa." I could feel the tension around us grow hotter and I could feel the chills crawl up my spine. "Are.. are you dating her?" He asked me out of the blue. I looked at him, surprised by his question. I waved my hands around as I shook my head stuttering 'no's all over the place.

He sighed. It was like a sigh of relief. I.. wonder why.. "It makes sense." I stopped my waving around and fidgeting and listened to what he said. "You two are from different worlds after all." I stared at him and chuckled a bit. "Ah.. Yeah. We do." I mumbled a bit and he looked at me.

He stared at me, not saying a word. It kind of creeped me out but I guess that's just the way he is. I wonder why he's so hostile around me. Hm... Oh! "Jacob... Is it that, you like Alisa?" I blurted out without thinking. "hUH?! H-How did y-you-" He stuttered around me and saw his face turn a bit pink. He calmed himself down and I saw him clench his fist.

"S-So what if I do like her..." He told me. "E-Eh?!! I was right?" I shouted out after he answered me. He looked at me all confused as I stuttered out a bit more. "I-It was j-just a l-l-lucky guess!! I didn't think it'd be true!!" I was shocked by the new information I had found out about. Jacob.. Likes Alisa.

I was pacing about, still shocked that Jacob liked her. Well Alisa is pretty popular so she should have some admirers here and there but- I looked at him and he was staring at me like I was crazy. All of sudden I heard a cough by the door. "Jacob... Cole. What are you guys doing? We have P.E next. Hurry up a bit won't 'cha?" A classmate of ours told us and we nodded, running to the boys changing room.

We both changed into our P.E clothes. Well I put on the jacket instead of the shirt which made Jacob suspicious. "Hey Cole. I've always wondered this but why do you always wear the jacket? Isn't it pretty hot? I mean it is Summer." He asked me as he put on the shirt. "W-Would you believe me if I had told you that I have an extreme fear of the cold?" I told him making up an excuse.

He didn't seem to believe it because I was 'sweating like crazy' apparently. "Do you have wounds on your body? Like scars or something?" I shook my head and he pushed on telling me to wear the shirt. "I-It's kind of embarrassing. I mean Alisa is the only person to see what's underneath this jacket. He was shocked by what I had said and was trying to stutter out answers or excuses. Hehe I got him (A/N: you're so evil Cole xD)

"You have to promise not to tell the teacher about this alright?" He stopped stuttering and finally agreed. I unzipped my jacket only to show my tattoos. He looked pretty startled by the fact that I had tattoos, and real ones at that. He finally understood why I needed the jacket and shrugged it off. Telling me that he would definitely keep it a secret. I thanked him and zipped back up my jacket.

In P.E class, Jacob got to know a bit more about me. Like the fact that I had piercings and that I'm not really the kind of delinquent everyone thinks I am. We got a little more acquainted. Now P.E class was finally over and it was time for lunch. I was going to Alisa until Jacob called me over for a bit. I excused myself and went over to him.

"So Cole." I nodded to let him know I was listening. "Why did you get those piercings and tattoos if you knew that it would make your life a bit harder." I let the words sink in and thought of the words to answer him. It was a pretty deep question which I would like to question myself actually. I thought of the words carefully.

"It's just.. You can't undo what you've already done right?" I told him with a little laugh. I do regret sometimes why I did make them... But it's already in the past. He nodded knowing I didn't want to talk about it anymore. "What I care about is how you've suddenly become so close to Alisa." He asked me so suddenly.

"Well it's not really that sudden. We've been friends for a little while now. And it was her idea to show everyone that we were friends." I said, smiling at how that meeting made my life change for the better. Alisa... She changed me. "But we're just friends. Trust me." I knew that Jacob has feeling for her. He needs to know that he still has that chance.

"Well then, is it okay if I confess to her?"

A silence past us only just a bit. He looked at me waiting for his answer. I sighed knowing he wanted an answer. I looked straight him with a small smile. "It's not my decision to confirm that. It's yours if you're brave enough to do it." He nodded and so we stood up from where we sat. We both shook hands in agreement and went back to where Alisa and Elaine sat.

We still had half of lunch to spare and we started to eat our lunch again. Alisa looked at me a bit worried while I just gave her a small smile. She scooted over to me and whispered while Elaine talked to Jacob. "You were with Jacob? That's rare." I nodded as she stared at me. "We just talked.. That's all." I said as I scooted a bit away from her.

Jacob wouldn't want me so close to her after he just told me that he liked her. She scooted more and I started scooting away. "Cole? A-Are you avoiding me?" She suddenly asked in a whisper. Dang! She found out. "N-No I'm not." She raised an eyebrow and confronted me again.

As we argued I could feel the same chill crawl up my spine. I looked at where Jacob sat and saw him staring at us. More like glaring at us. His eyes could literally burn my soul if he wanted to. Or like lasers could pop out of his eyes. They were THAT scary! W-What should I do?! I'm too young to die!!

"Hey Alisa!" Jacob said all of a sudden. Alisa stopped trying to get an answer out of me and looked at Jacob. "C-Could you maybe spare some time after school? I n-need to tell you something." Alisa hesitated on answering and was about to say 'no' until. "Alisa. I'll pick Brandon up from school. Don't worry. Just go and hear what Jacob has to say after school."

I told her and she looked at me with an 'are you sure?' look. I nodded and she sighed. "Sure. I'll stay."
