K-pop fans have been wondering where the star young couple has been in 2022.
Neither idols have mentioned each other for months, raising the concern of fans in both fandoms.
Both agencies took to Twitter to announce that Elsie and Jacob are no longer dating, and they haven't been for a while.
Elsie and SM Entertainment released a statement as follows:

Recently, there have been questions regarding myself and Jacob.
Jacob and I began dating in October of 2019 however things became harder over the years, especially due to Covid.
We both have very conflicting schedules and rarely got to see each other.
As a mutual decision, the both of us decided to split in August of 2021.
We are both still amazing friends and he is such a phenomenal human and idol. We stay in contact frequently but we are no longer together.
I hope you can all support our decision and I hope Czennies show nothing but love and support for Jacob and his group.
