April arrived to the ER early after all she had nothing else to do.
She was on the night shift but she figured no one would notice if she did extra hours. People do it all the time. All though April is one tough cookie she quickly got exhausted after being in the hospital for more than 8 hours.
April skipped breakfast, and dinner from last night, it was almost lunch time and she planning to skip that too.
"Apes" Christina calls snapping her fingers in front of the redheads face. April turns and let's out a overextended sigh.
"Yes Christina?" April says raising her eyebrows with a fake smile.
"I've been calling your name for like a hour, are you ok" Christina asks, although Christina, Meredith and Alex tease the poor girl relentlessly ask any of them it's out of love.
"I'm fine, just hungry, in fact I think i'll go eat something right now."
"Good you look pretty pale" Christina says motioning her hand to Aprils face.
April rolls her eyes before grabbing her clipboard and walking away.

Alex and Meredith sat in the lunchroom both with 10 bucks laid out in front of them. The two look on in front of them at Christina and the stupid intern following her around.
"She's totally going to flip out at him" Alex says smirking tapping his hand on the money.
"Nope she'll make him grab her lunch and than send him off to go grab her charts." Mer says smiling and continuing to look at the pair.
Christina walks over to the table accompanied by the short intern who's hair looks like it hasn't been brushed for days. She snaps and motions for him to put the tray down.
"Hey Mer, Evil Spawn, Pretty Boy" Christina says, Jackson had just sat down with the pair and was busy devouring his burger.
"What are you still doing here, go make yourself useful" She snarks at the intern. He quickly runs to the side almost slamming into the coffee cart, Mer snickers and grabs the 10 dollars.
She fans it at Alex while smiling.
"No fair you cheated" Alex growls trying to grab his money.
"Really Mer betting on me with 10 dollars, at least do 20 we know you always win" Christina replies eating a bite of her salad.
"Hey has anyone seen Kepner?" Mer asks turning around in her seat. When it comes to food and socializing, you best believe she always first there.
"She told me she was on her way to lunch not even 10 minutes ago" Christina says making a face.
"She probably got lost" Alex snickers, grabbing one of Avery's fries.
"Quit it" Jackson shouts. Alex holds his hands up mockingly before stealing another.
"Jackson, quick where's April you two are always conjoined at the hip" Christina says pointing her fork at the blushing man.
"I don't know, and frankly I don't care" He says dropping his tray in the small trash can next to the table and walking away.
"Snarky, who wants to bet he's heading to the on call room right now and she's waiting for him" Christina says smirking stabbing her fork down in the lettuce.

Lunch had ended and it was 7 pm when the day started to get bad.
April and ran out to meet an ambulance bringing in a man with a TBI and lacerations to his face and chest. April was usually smart with health after all she was a doctor, and a damn good one.
Somehow all the things with Jackson had gotten to her and she was refusing to eat, rest or drink water. She has been in the hospital for more than 12 hours without a single thing to eat or drink. To say she was exhausted was a understatement.
"Someone page Shepard and Pierce, and get me a IV bag and fluids. Sir can you hear me?" April was a trauma surgeon and she wasn't going to let dehydration get in her way. Until she started to feel dizzy.
"On my count 1,2,3" Hunt yells before they switch the young man to a bed in the trauma room. Everyone begins yelling medical statements and trying to save the man's life.
They quickly decide to bring him to the OR and they start to race toward the elevator.
April runs alongside the bed, before stopping and standing in the middle of the ER swaying and looking up at the ceiling.
"Kepner, get your ass over here we need help" Owen yells continuing to bag the man.
"Just a minute Sir, I need to"
April collapses on a heap in the floor smacking her head against the floor pretty hard and laying there.
"KEPNER" She hears Owen yell. A nurse runs over and puts her hand on the girls neck checking for a pulse.
"Im not dead obviously" April says smacking her hand away trying to stand up.
Avery was responding to a consult with a burn when he saw the ordeal go down. He runs over to her helping her stand up.
"Apes your bleeding" He says fingering the cut on her face.
"I'm fine just bonked my head, I have to go help Hunt now."
"April no come sit down" He leads her to a empty ER bed and sets her down pulling up a suture tray.
"No, anyone but you" April says pulling away from the muscular man and laying on her side.
"Don't be ridiculous, i'm plastics i'm the best."
"Why do you even care" April says frowning.
"Your my friend" Jackson says a hurt look on his face.
"You ruined that, get me someone else"
"April" Jackson says, looking down at the red head.
"No go away" She turns her head aways from him and looks at the floor.
He sighs before pulling out his pager and walking over to the nurse to tell her to keep an eye on the stubborn girl.
