No.
"I've never been out of state before."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I'm not sure."
Theo glanced over at me before putting his eyes back on the road. "Well, I'm glad your first time out of the state is with me, since I'll make it worthwhile."
"Really?" I asked, raking my eyes over him with a slight smile on my face.
Theo cleared his throat. "Mhm."
Messing with him is my favorite hobby.
I enjoy making him squirm. "Cool." I leaned back into the seat, switching the song to something more upbeat.
I'm meeting the family.
I'm nervous.
At least this trip is also taking my mind off from the events before which I'm happy about. I'm far away from Jay for the time being.
I don't know why his words got in my head so much.
He just caught me on at a poor time. I was tired and stressed out. How did he manage to somewhat convince me that Theo; the guy who cooks for me, calls me an Angel and means it, blushes whenever I tease him, and is apparently in love with me was embarrassed of me.
I smiled at the last part mentally derailing my thought process.
He loves me.
Looking back out on the road, my eyes scanned the signs as we passed them.
We're driving there since it takes less than a day if you don't make any stops. But we're going to spend the night somewhere then keep going, so we'll be there by tomorrow afternoon.
"What should I know?"
"What do you mean?"
"I know random facts about your family but I need more information than that."
He thought for a second, "My dad likes basketball a lot. Lakers fan and that's probably all he'll talk about. My mom likes cooking; she's a chef and she has an obsession with Real Housewives."
