(I'm stopping these a/ns at the beginning of the chapters so make sure you check my message board for updates from now on.)

Thank you for all the suggestions. Some were good. Others were good for like two seconds then got bad. Then a few.. let's just pretend like those weren't sent.

Let me clear something up though. I'M NOT KILLING JONATHAN OFF! He's not gonna cheat on Monique, or have some side family either. He can't just be a good guy that knows how to treat a woman? Damn, y'all got trust issues. Lol but on with the chapter.

Sorry in advance if I mess with your emotions...

Monique Carter.

I paced the living room. Michael just left and after what he said I feel like it's moved to the top of my list of problems.

How can Yanae be his?

I got a paternity test 8 years ago! For all I know he and Jayce could be lying. But then again, why would he lie about something like this?

I'm honestly just stressed.

"Bae, sit down. Just breathe and relax." Jonathan said handing me a glass of water.

"What do you mean breathe and relax? Did you not just hear what he said! Our daughter is his biological daughter!"

"And? As far as Yanae knows I'm her father. Not him. What's wrong with things continuing to be that way?"

"What's wrong is that now I know she's not the result from the rape. Michael is her biological father and he knows it to. Meaning that now we're gonna have to work something out."

Jonathan furrowed his eyebrows. "Work what out?"

"I don't know. Something so that she'll be able to see him and they can build a relationship."

Jonathan looked me in the eyes with a form of sadness in his. "You want them to build a relationship?"

I nodded. "They have to Jon, that's his daughter."

Jonathan's eyes started getting a little red and his face softened. "She's my daughter to Monique. Mentally and legally."

"Okay well biological she's his." I said but once I did I regret it.

My tone of voice, what I said-- everything. It was all just so harsh.

Jonathan just clenched his jaw and sniffed then started nodding and walked towards the bedroom, leaving me standing in the middle of the living room.

"Make sure you take your medicine for that cold." I yelled to him. I know he heard me because I heard him opening up the bottle, but he didn't respond for obvious reasons.

I ran my hand through my hair then picked up my phone and texted Michael. Jonathan is gonna pick Yanae up from school today so that leaves an hour window for Michael and I to talk. I really just need to get this all sorted out.

My thoughts were interrupted when I got the sudden urge to throw up.

Jonathan Carter.

What do you do when you know you're about to lose your family? How are you supposed to feel? What are you supposed to say when you know there's most likely nothing you can do about it? Huh?
