"Umm, let's just go ahead and make it blue." I said looking in the mirror as my stylist Saki ran her hands through my hair.
"Blue?" She questioned.
I nodded.
"Like ocean blue or sky blue?"
"Both. I want the deep blue at the roots then sky blue at the tips."
"Soo..an ombre?" She asked.
"Yep."
"Okay." Saki said before putting the cape around me. "You wanna use the same hair you have installed right now or new bundles?"
I shook my head. "I kinda wanna give the weave a break and let my real hair breathe."
She nodded and started to part my hair into sections.
"I love it when my clients just have babies." She commented.
I laughed a little. "Why?"
"Because then they always come into the salon a little after wanting a change. They're either getting a new color, getting some length, taking some length, getting twists, braids, anything you can imagine really." Saki explained. "And I love doing it."
I nodded. "Wow."
Saki has been my stylist ever since I was fifteen. I found out about her because I used to be friends with her little sister back in high school. Back then Saki didn't have a salon, so I'd just go over her house and we'd be upstairs in her room making magic. However a little after me and her sister graduated, she got her own shop.
She still gives me discount prices since I was one of her first clients.
"So how have those New York stylist been treating you?" She asked as she started to take my current bundles out.
