The Party

In the previous chapter...

I grabbed a damn lot of snacks from the bag and headed upstairs. I opened the door because both of my hands were busy and threw the snacks on the bed. I quickly went to the bathroom and washed my face before putting on my clothes which I left before going to the grocery store. After being all comfy I jumped on my bed wrapping the warm blanket around me since it was cold. I switched on my laptop and connected it to wi-fi. I decided to watch a rom-com web series cuz why not? I grabbed a packet of chips and started eating while watching Netflix.

I woke up by the sound of my laptop playing, the snacks spread everywhere and I myself was looking like a mess.

I took a quick glance at my clock and it was 7 p.m. Oh my god I slept for more than 6 hours. I did not even eat my lunch but I was full because of the snacks.

Then I heard a notification from my phone. I couldn't see what it was because my phone was kept on the table.

I threw the blanket on the other side and got up gr to reach for my phone. There was a missed call from my mother.

I quickly called her while running a hand through my hair. The phone was ringing and she wasn't picking up, just when I was about to cut the call she picked up.

"Hey mom? U called me?" I asked as soon as she picked up

"Juli? Yes I called you..." she replied in a calm tone.

"Sorry mom I was sleeping, I woke up just now" I said still half asleep.

"Really sorry to disturb you Juli but I won't be able to come home today because I need to make sure your grandmother recovers fully because she is still sick and not in a good shape but I will try to be back by this Monday... " my mom said sounding a bit upset.

"Oh, Don't worry mom...I can take care of myself and the house too" I said laughing which made my mom chuckle too.

"And I hope grandma recovers soon, please convey my regards to her"

"I will and thank you so much Juli for being such a responsible daughter" she said.

"It's nothing mom, compared the love you have given to me" I said thinking about my father who just left us.

I heard my aunt calling my mom.

"Juli I have to go now... I will call you later, take care and eat your meals properl-"

"Ok mom!! I m a grown up now I can take care of myself" I said cutting her off and chuckling.

"You know Juli, how much I love you and can't take the risk of you getting harmed"

"I know mom..." I said smiling.

"Ok then Juli, I will call u later! Love you!" my mom said energetically.

"Love you too mom!" I said before hanging up.

As soon as I kept the phone on the table and started to walk to the bathroom my phone's message notification rung again.

I turned back to see who could be messaging right now.

It was Sophi, she messaged me saying...

I hope you're ready. Will pick you up in an hour;)xx

"HOLY CRAP!!!! I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE PARTY" I squealed throwing my phone on the bed.

I ran to the closet and started throwing my clothes everywhere.

"I don't even have party clothes!!!" I said frustrated.

I was shaking because of my anxiety. I turned on the side of my closet and bent my legs to my chest hugging it tightly. I took a deep breath and started to think positive. My anxiety turns into breathing problem if not taken care and that's the last thing I wanted to happen with me right now.
