Lost

A poem about a man mourning the loss of his family.

Dawn in the misty, autumn woods.

A lone man, stands;

tears streaming down his cheeks

the loss of his family.

His wife.

His child.

His whole world.

Gone.

Taken from him.

And now, empty!

He wants revenge!

Crunching leaves,

Whispering wind,

Rushing water,

Snapping sticks,

Are all insignificant.

All the man heard was the mournful laughter of his child.
