The High Priestess, Part 2

"Anyone else getting nervous?" Polnareff asked as the submarine shook.

"Try to stay calm. Times like these require us to keep our heads on straight and be prepared." Joseph said putting on his scuba diving wear.

"Putting this stuff on with one hand is a lot harder than it looks." Joseph said looking at his missing hand.

"So has anyone ever scuba dived before?" Joseph asked.

"Not me." Polnareff said.

"No." Jotaro said.

"I haven't." Kakyoin said.

"The High Priestess will break through any moment! You have to teach us how to dive now!" Avdol said, as both himself and Y/n stood at the door.

"Try and calm yourself, Avdol. You must never panic, no matter what. This is the most important rule when scuba diving." Joseph said looking at Avdol.

"When you're underwater, for every ten meters you go below the surface, the corresponding pressure increases along with you. The surface pressure started at one atmosphere. We're 40 meters below the surface right now, so we'll endure five atmospheres of pressure. If we surface too quickly, the pressure'll cause our lungs and blood vessels to burst. We have to rise slowly so our bodies can adjust." Joseph explained.

"We're nearing the Egyptian coast. It's best to ascend along the sea floor. Ok... I'm letting the water in." Joseph said turn the water on.

"You're looking at a regulator. The valve inside allows air in from the tank only when you inhale. The air you breathe out exists through the piece on the left." Joseph said.

"What about spit? What happens if I need to drool or hock a loogie or something?" Polnareff asked.

"That stuff comes out the opening here. And, this should go without saying but we can't talk underwater. Instead, we'll use hand signals. Let's keep things simple and use two. When things are going smoothly we'll use this to say "OK."" Joseph said holding up an ok sign.

"When they aren't, use this." Joseph said flattening his hand and sticking out his pinkie and thumb, waving it back and forth.

"Mr. Joestar, couldn't we just use our Stands to communicate?" Avdol asked.

"Oh yeah, I didn't think about that." Joseph said making Polnareff groan.

"Aww, man! And I was about to say I know a really good hand signal." Polnareff said.

Polnareff clapped his hands together, then held up a peace sign, then an "Ok" sign, and finally he held his hand to his face above his eyebrows.

Kakyoin popped up behind him.

"He says, "Your underwear is showing."" Kakyoin said.

"Yeah!" Polnareff yelled turning around and started doing a little hand shake with Kakyoin.

Y/n stared at the two men, before turning to Jotaro.

"Can we make up a handshake?" Y/n asked with a large grin, making Jotaro shrug.

"We could be attacked and killed at any moment! Stop fooling around and let's go!" Joseph yelled.

"This room is about to be filled to the brim with water. Put your masks and regulators on." Joseph said as he put his goggles on.

The others follow suit, as the water rose above them.

Joseph opened the submarine's hatch, before turning to everyone and holding up an "OK" sign.

The others did the same.

However, Polnareff waved his arms around, as air bubbles shot out of his mouth.
