Chapter 23

Despite the silence and calm demeanor, Kang Yeong had the face that clearly expressed his displeasure at the situation he was in.

Jackson : You must be curious as to how come you failed to keep your identity hidden as Big Boss and when did your little heirs existence came to light. But do you think it was wise of you to interfere into our business, Kang?

Kang Yeong : Don't play so saint Jackson. It was you who dared to cross the line that KIB and Wangs had built on unsaid mutual terms.

Jackson : I might have....but what's the big deal? Your agents come and die on missions and if we come to calculations, wasn't it you who send your little rat to mess with us? SeokJin, wasn't it?

A muscle in his twitched as Jackson smirked knowing that he hit a nerve.

Kang Yeong : What do you want?

Jackson : I don't want, Kang. Unlike my father, I demand and make sure I get it. And as for your part, for starters, you'll call your men and order them to shoot Han Wang.

Daniels head whipped to Jackson while Ji Sooyeons lips part. Evidently confused and surprised.

Jackson : Don't be so surprised, mother. Apparently, he's my father and had been useful til now including figuring out about these KIB shit...but what can I do, it's a rule I learned throughout my life in this business.

Jackson states nonchalantly to Ji Sooyeon.

Jackson : Once you lose your bait to your enemy, never take it back in unless you want to be poisoned. And father is nothing but a threat to me now.

Daniel : what a fucking bastard...

Daniel tsked.

Daniel : weren't you taken back in after escaping from KIB headquarters by the said father?

Jackson : my my, Kang. A heir you got there. You do know you both are at my mercy yet dared to talk back. Gosh, shall I say brave or foolish?

Chuckles.

Jackson : but to answer your question, Daniel-sshi, I'm anything but my father. Because, when it comes to my term of business, I don't trust anyone nor care for one unless I have something to benefit from them. And that father of mine certainly doesn't have anything to benefit me anymore.

Kang Yeong : Perhaps I do so....

Jackson turns to Kang Yeong as he begins to answer.

Kang Yeong : then what? Surely it's not all that you summoned my presence for..

Jackson grins mischievously.

Jackson : rest aside, I honestly like this thing about you Yeong. Cut the chase and straight to point.

Yeong stared at Jackson impassively and waited for the psycho that Jackson was, to continue.

Jackson : well to be precise, I demand three things from you...one being Han Wangs demise and second, where is the red box?

The single twitch on his jaw confirmed Jacksons suspicious of Yeong being the captor of the said box.

Kang Yeong : I have no clue-

He begins to deny, only to be cut off.

Jackson : tsk..tsk..tsk......we're way past the play-dumb-phase, Yeong. And we both know you're smarter than this, or else it'd be a shame to acknowledge you as the great Big Boss, no?

Kang Yeong : I don't have it with me.

Yeong says rather irritated.

Jackson : I know, but where have you hidden it?

Silence.

Gunshot!

The bullet was shot towards the sky before Jackson lowered the gun and points it at Daniel who only watches his father's paling slightly.

Jackson : for the last time, Kang. Where is the box?

Kang Yeong : you're not making any wise decision here Jackson..

He warns.

Jackson : well neither are you..

Jackson turns the safety barel off when-

Kang Yeong : I don't have it okay, only Reed knew of it!

The words slipped off his tongue before he could filter the truth.

Jackson : bullshit....I had sent my men's after her when-

Suddenly Jackson caught on something he didn't bother to pay attention previously as his eyes dilated in deep thought.

When he had sent those men to retrieve that red box from her, by hook or crook, she didn't know. She couldn't know because she didn't had her memories back then.

The informer was telling the truth. The first captor of red box was agent Reed or Park Chae-Hee, and when she died, no one knew or was hinted to find out where it was. Which only multiplies the possibilities of her daughter being the second captor of it.

And if A/n couldn't be the one because she wasn't aware of any of these so that implies only person.

Kang Yeong : so as you can see, you're only wasting you and our time-

Jackson : The informer....

The sentence died on Yeongs lips as his eyes zeroed on Jackson who turned to him with anger and determination.

Jackson : ...who is it?
