My Cold Blooded Boss

It's been a week since Gallen got hired. And he's doing a good job, he thinks. Like what his boss said, which he still didn't know his name. He just needs to maintain everything and look after his house.

Every morning after he woke up, he will check and clean everything. After he'll finish, he will went back to his room and read his notes. He's still a student and 2 more years remaining, he's finally going to graduate.

Now, he's downstairs. He's just done cleaning and he already took a bath. He's holding his notes while sitting on the stall. He's reading a book that he found on his room. Maybe it belong to his boss, and he decided to read it since he's bored. He already finished reading all his notes too.

The book is placed on the table and his used his hand to turn it to the other page. While his other hand is getting chips from the bag. The book is a fantasy book, based on the cover of the book.

Gallen is here for like an hour already. He's brushing his hair off so it won't disturb him from reading but it always fall down. So he's blowing it off but it still fall off after. Gallen annoying held his bangs and started reading again but he's hand is getting numb so he let go of his hair and just pouted. He just look up while blowing some air on his bangs.

And that's the scene that Malik saw when he entered the kitchen. He got stunned for a while and just watch Gallen being a baby for a while. He was tired from work and he's in a bad mood when he got home but the scene he saw in his kitchen right now, washed all his stress and he somehow enjoying watching Gallen.

Gallen stopped when he felt someone staring at him. He looked at the entrance only to find his boss leaning on the wall, his arms crossed and had an amused expression on his face. He suddenly felt shy and stop blowing air on his bangs as he looked down.

Malik looked down to hide a smile that escaped his lips. After sometime, he fixed himself and cleared his throat. Gallen suddenly stood up and was about to bow but Malik stopped him.

"Go back reading." He just said. He noticed the book on the table and the chips that is opened.

Malik went behind him to get a glass on the cabinet. "Did you eat all of my chips?," He said, trying to tease Gallen.

"N-No! I-I just eat one now!," Gallen immediately said. His fingers are crossed under the table. Fuck, I did literally eat it all.

Malik went near the fridge to get some cold water to drink. He poured the cold water on his glass and drink it all. "Are you sure?," He asked. He can saw Gallen panicking and it's actually amusing him at some point.

Gallen just closed his eyes. His head hang low. Lying is bad. He looked up and looked at Malik. Gallen sheepishly smiled. "I-I kinda finish it all," he said truthfully.

Malik just shook his head and closed his fridge after putting the pitcher back and he put his glass on the sink. Gallen was bit uneasy when Malik shooked his head. Is he mad? I thought he said it's okay to eat some of his food?

Some! Gallen! You said 'some'! You didn't say all! A voice from the back of his head said. Gallen just tsked. "A-Are you mad?,"

Malik looked at him. "No. As long as you do your job right, you can eat all of my food." Malik just said and washed his hands. After sometime, he was about to walk out of the kitchen, but he looked back at Gallen and placed some money on the table.

Gallen's mouth agape. "F-For what—,"

"Buy groceries. The change is yours," Malik just said and he went upstairs.

After sometime, Gallen stood up and took the money. This is a lot of money. He just said and fold it, then he put it on his pocket. He sighed. "I'll buy groceries now," he just said and he closed the book.
