Just One Gaze

The Portal

Dipper's POV

I hugged her, and comforted her... and slowly guided her to lift her up and walk down to the passage, her grip tighten on my arm

As we walked down , a timer was set and was counting down to 30 seconds

"Dipper! What's that?" Pacifica said

Her voice was shaky and can hear her hard breathing.

"It looks like a countdown to- WHAT THE HECK!"

I was cut off to see Gruncle Stan and the rest of the mystery shack gang protecting the , seemed to be portal.... they were fighting off agents and cops

"Dipper! Look out!" Mabel screamed

I looked behind and saw an agent holding a gun and was pointing to Pacifica,

"NO DONT!"

I jumped... and took the bullet for Pacifica...

It shot through exactly at my heart...
My vision blacken and everything was slowing down my fall seemed like it took forever , I would do everything for Pacifica ... but I didnt know I would take a bullet for her , I guess I'm 'that' inlove...

My body touched the ground and can feel  the pain, and blood flowing out on my wound , I want to see Pacificas face one more time , i turned my head and saw her eyes widen in shock tears streaming down and held my cheecks, slowly my hand made its way to her beautiful face , and told her my last words ...

"Stay strong... I will travel the after life and... f-find you..."

I felt myself giving up ,my eyes watering from tears , this is it... the end...
Just as then as I was slowly dying , everything stopped then turned black and white.... hey, I've witnessed this before .... I touched my wounded part which still was bleeding but not hurting... quickly I tried to gather all of my strenght and stood up ,

"Hey kid"

I looked behind and saw a yellow golden triangle with one eye , Bill Cipher

"What do you want?"

I asked with a hint of irritation on my tone,

"Hey, easy kid I'm here  to save yah, okay?"

I was quite shocked to hear that... after all it's Bill , I mean he tried to destroy Stans mind or something..

"How?"

I said while lowering my guard...

"Well you see , I have been watching you go through hard times and even watch you do something private..."

"You watch me pee?!"

"Not just that.... I know what you're doing when your alone in your room"

I scratched my elbow and gave out a loud sigh...

"alright you know everything now what?" I said

"I know you're so cray cray about knowing the author.... and this is it brother! , you're going to witness this portal go and release the author"

He said hovering above the portal.

"But I'm dying... how am I suppose to know him or her?"

"Hold on kid hold on... let me finish my sentence... as you can see , Im not that powerful I'm just a dream demon.... and now I want you to stay strong and witness the author staying in your shack... I'm going to let you live as long as my power can take it..."

"But why are you doing all of this for me?"

"You see kid, I'm tired of just hovering around and troll people , and ofcourse ... with you gone its not as challenging like when you where cracking that password for that laptop , heck you've gone crazy for that password!"

"But how long will your power take it to keep me alive?"

"I dont know... it depends... , lets say about 4-5 years..."

"Huh.... , thats a long run... yeah , ok .... but wait..."

He looked at me with a questioning eye

"Can I just like... go to a hospital and-"

"Bad idea kid," he cut off "remember that society of the blind eyes memory erasing machine?"

I gave him a nod.

"They erased the doctors memory for witnessing ... lets just say something terrible, and now they are taking pills and injecting green goo on theirselves..."

I shivered from what he said, he cleared his throat and thrust out his hand to mine and appeared a blue flame ,

"So... is it a deal then?"

I looked at Pacifica and the rest of the gang... I had hope on my eyes while looking at his flaming hand....

"Deal"

I said while thrusting out my hand and shook hands ,

The blue flame crawled up to my arm and started flaming on my wounded area... slowly the wound stopped flowing and skin was starting to form on my wound....

"Now kid... does it hurt?"

"N-no...., not anymore..."

I was fascinated by Bills power and who would have thought he'd be a nice guy?

"You better get to position before I go..."

He said , while dusting off  his hat...

"Okay ,thanks Bill"

"No problem kid..."

I went back and lay down... from where I was shot.. then with a flick on his hand he disappeared and everything went to color again...

I looked at the agent who shot me and stood up,

"Hey you!"

I shouted at the agent

"You want a piece of this?!"

I took out my flashlight with the shrinking and growing gem... I flicked it to shrinking and shone it to the agent... he shrank and I stepped on him...

"Dipper?! , you're alive?!"

"The one and only..."

She hugged me and cried at my shoulder....
Just as soon as we breaked the hug , a voice starting counting down

"15 , 14 , 13 , 12..."

We looked at each other and the rest of the gang , Mabel ran towards the red button of the portal ....

"MABEL NO!"

I screamed running towards and tackling her ,

"What the heck Dipper! , cant you see we're all gonna die?!!"

"No Mabel! You dont understand!"

"I DO UNDERSTAND DIPPER!" she cried, tears forming in her eyes "i want to live!"

"No ! I know what will happen next! The author of the journals will come out from there!"

"Dipper are you out of your mind?! Where the heck will that author come from! That thing looks dangerous Dipper! "

I ignored her actions and continued to stop her from getting to the button ,

"6 , 5 , 4 ,3 , 2 , 1"

Then the portal exploded causing us to fall back .... slaming our back on the cold metalic wall....
