Tilly's POV

"I don't have a fucking phone." I was growing tired of the bouncer hounding me. It was the third time he had asked for it. Devices weren't allowed in supernatural pubs. He didn't look convinced as he glowered down at me. I clenched my fist, feeling the electricity course through my veins. I was tempted to lay him on his ass with my shock, but that would only draw more attention.

"Let her in." A man made his way to us, letting his dark gaze drop to my closed fist. He smiled and drug those deathly eyes back up to mine.

"Tallulah Royce." A grin tugged his thin lips. He knew who I was. He was a Demon. I prayed to the fates he was of the rebellion. I didn't want anywhere near him, but he got the brick bodied bouncer to move out of the way. I faked a smile at the knowing stranger and went to shove past him. I glanced around at all the intoxicated creatures, looking for a witch friendly enough to lend me their power. I needed to get to the realm before the royal guard caught up to me.

Three days of non stop running was beginning to wear me down. I needed my fathers help. Though a part of me feared his backlash. Word was out about the Halfling being a mate of the royal family. Augustus made sure of it, and I'd rather cut my own heart out than spend eternity in the royal court. I was a rebellion, the daughter of the Demon that would tear the whole kingdom down if he could. Which was why my saving Augustus was treacherous news to some.

It was a moment of weakness, I should have let him drink from Thea. I wouldn't have to run, I'd still be living my mundane life with mom. I missed her, more than anything.

An electric current crawled up my spine as I felt the pathetic demon following me. I scuffed and turned to him abruptly. He halted and grinned, showing me those crooked teeth.

"I'd recognize that electric current anywhere." His drowsy gaze narrowed. I needed to keep my current in check. It emanated a static around me, and I didn't need the whole bar knowing I was Romero's daughter.

"You know there's a pretty hefty price on your head." He took a step forward. My jaw tightened as I glanced around the space, ensuring no one heard him.

"What do you want?" I was prepared to bargain with him. Augustus put a target on my back. All members of his court were keeping an eye out for the Halfling on the run.

"Augustus is offering a large bounty, but now that I see you, I think I'd take a night cap" his top lip curled into a sickly grin. I brawled with the urge to punch this half wit. Think smart Tilly.

"Make it a quicky and you have a deal." I purred, my falsified seductive tone worked. In an instant he turned toward the bathrooms. I followed close, subtly glancing around to make sure no one was following us. This Demon reeked of weed and booze, somehow his plastic leather jacket was less appealing to me than his rotting teeth. He was lower level for sure. Upper level Demons were as clean and cunning as vampires, and they definitely wouldn't let go of the opportunity to please their king Vercelis, at least not for a measly 10 minutes of emotionless sex.

I followed him into the neon lit bathroom, the whole bar had a low glowing aura, dimming every face in the place. I closed the door as he faced me.

"You have to keep this between us, I don't want our king knowing I took his mates virtue." He smirked before leaning into me. I gagged at his open mouth.

"He's not my king." I seethed, opening my closed fist and latching it around his stubbly throat. I watched as his body shook, convulsing under my electricity. I open smiled as his eyes rolled to the back of his head, I allowed my current to course through him till piss wet his stupid skinny jeans. I dropped him before my Royce family power could ice my thumping heart. Each time I used daddy's gifted powers they seeped evil into my mortal soul. And I needed that soul, it was the only thing that felt like me. The only thing my mother gave me. Even my looks more so resembled my father.
